Mi-aro broadcast

Summer is kicking in Port City! The temperature averages about 78°F (25°C) with a bit more rain than usual. Thunderstorms pop up every once in awhile, but overall, the sun is shining, the water's warm, and it looks like it'll be a great summer for the colonies.

Emerald didn't say anything, but she felt waves of bad energy coming off of the girl. She must have said something to anoy her or dredge up some unwanted feelings. It only made the green-haired girl a bit guilty for what she had done. She thought she was only asking the general questions! Apparently not, however. She got a growl in response, then words to indicate that the woman was listening.
She shrugged off the abrasive tone she thought she heard because Emerald felt she had caused the attitude inadvertently. She looked at the shoreline, where she finally saw the yellow pokemon completely instead of flashes of the color. She smiled at the pokemon and the water, then she looked for her own pokemon. "Gible! Gible!"
And with that, a shark jumped out of the sea of grass, dived back in, and ran to its trainer. She then looked down at her egg, rubbed it a bit, and started making a pit in the shoreline for the egg. "I wonder if the calm waters will make the pokemon feel better. Maybe it can help us determine typing!"

Nix looked up as she saw the water ahead of her and felt a bit more relaxed. She always felt better being around water and nature and she always seemed to forget the nasty things in life, mainly because she had escaped the house to hide in trees and grasses so much a child she assumed. She wandered over to the water and slid off her back pack, pulling out one large corka again and holding it out to her right as she pulled the flap on the bag. The egg was safe in the middle as as she felt lucy take the treat from her hand, the trainer tapped her egg softly and made sure it was safe. "I think we should leave things as be, if the water is rough let it be rough and if its calm we just come and sit and watch" she said with a small sigh as she looked to her fennekin who was now dipping a paw in the water and flicking his ears most softly. He didnt like water of course as he was a fire type but he liked playing and if he could play with this new dragon freind in the water, well he could deal with water if it was a play toy.

Emerald looked at the egg in the sand, the egg not doing anything. She looked at it one more time before speaking the the woman. "I think handling it to different environments is good! Obviously nothing like near a volcano or anything, but sand, dirt, forests, plains; let it see the world before it can see! I am going to tell my pokemon all of my adventures. So even if I can't have whatever pokemon happens, I can enrich it somewhat!" Emerald pondered if the different locations would bring out a different personality. Would being around the trainer cause it to become attached more than another trainer? Would it feel more free or social?
Emerald wasn't that type of researcher, but they were nice thought if she came in contact with some more eggs. She looked at her gible, who was beckoning the fire type in the water. Despite being more comfortable in the ground and mud, the dragon type was fine in the water, and his shark-like biology helped with swimming at semi-fast speeds. Enough to zip around the shallow end while waiting for the fennekin to come around and jump into the lake.
"It's so beautiful!" Emerald spoke while rubbing the egg that was firmly lodged in the sand. When she felt bored with the act, she would soon go and dip it in the water.

Nix raised an eyebrow as the girl spoke again, part of the elder girl beginning to wonder if the younger was covering for something. She was so cheery and happy and took off with every subject she was offered, was she doing it to hide a pain or something else? Nix of course would never asked or pry in to that box because she knew she herself did it often enough, but it did make her wonder. Her eyes darted to kitzu who was watching the other pokemon in the water and his tail flicked out behind him before he dived in to the cool blue water and sent it shooting in to the air. Nix darted out a hand and pulled her rucksack and so her egg closer, putting it between her legs as she sat down and resting the egg against her chest so it was safe from any other water splashes. "It's different" nix commented as she heard the other girl, tall green trees and grasses to ones knees were nixs idea of beauty. A forest untouched by human hands and sculpted by pokemon and their world, that was the best thing in the world. Water was nice, but it was no tree.

Emerald looked at her pokemon, swimming in the water. She desperately wanted to run into the water and play around, but an egg was a large responsibility. She couldn't risk her egg being open and unsafe, and by the protective nature of Nix, Emerald didn't want to seem like the life of a new pokemon was being taken so frivolously. She would raise and care for the egg how she saw fit, but she wouldn't put it below top priority, even if that meant she would have to make some sacrifices.
"I like the water. It's quite relaxing." She said this as she inched closer to the water with her egg. Near the shoreline, she dipped the egg into a small hole in the sand, eating up about 1/5 of the egg's height as the egg sunk into the sand more. The water ebbed and washed the egg lightly. Emerald rubbed the soon-to-be-pokemon, measuring how it reacted to the egg. She didn't know if it would like the egg or not, but she was ready to pull it out if the egg did not respond well to the water. To her excitement, the egg moved just slightly, though it did not seem to move anymore after the small shift. Emerald took this as a good sign, and after a few minutes of feeling the egg, she determined that it had not gotten any colder. "I think it likes the water. The lake is very nice. Very kind to those who respect it." She looked back at the girl and smiled.
"Would you like to come with me soon to check out the foliage?" She hoped the girl would say yes. It was already noon, with many hours still open to travelling. They could relax for quite a while until they had to leave, which made Emerald happy. She wished she could stay here forever.

Nix could feel her mood getting worse as she was allowed to sit and think on her own, her hands were moving over her egg softly every second and she was trying to focus on that. To count the strokes she moved over its surface as she watched the other trainer before the younger girl spoke and nix eyes slid back in to focus, trying to look to her companion again. "It's an egg. It cant like water. Hell it could be a fire or a water type in there, i can understand it liking being cool or maybe liking to hear your voice but i dont think its the water" she said before she heard her own words and changed them to sound a little softer. She didnt mean to snap, she just also wasnt good at phrasing herself to sound nice.
The next sentence nix did not so enjoy, but she needed to be nice still. "I aint so in to leaves and things and we been traveling a while, i think i might rest here for a bit and let the midday sun pass over and start traveling again later. You are welcome to go, i'll watch the pokemon and even your egg if you want but im not good in the heat" she said, trying to cover her bad mood with something that didnt seem so negative.
(I think ending here is good, then we can get the thread checked and rated for egg gain and TP gain for me and lucy and then maybe start one in the next town)
