James is a fairly laid back, calm and collected person who does not dwell on petty things. He takes his job rather seriously, and tends to put that first before anything else. While he does not seem like a friendly or people-person sort of human being, he will gladly approach others if he believes that they have or know something that may benefit himself or his goal of knowledge. While he is not the person to have a large amount of acquaintances - because the term 'friend' does not seem to coenside well with him - he will aid anyone he holds close without a second thought. He appears to get along well with Pokemon more so than people, and does not like the idea of Pokemon abuse or the separation of people of their Pokemon.

James does not seem to know the word 'friend' fairly well. He does not have any - of at all - people who he enjoys calling 'friend' in his life, and at the moment, doubts that he ever will. The closest thing he might have is an acquaintance; someone who can help him learn about Pokemon - both in their natural habitat, and how they work alongside humans - as well as him give them tips from things he has learned from studying Pokemon. There might be a rare possibility where he could call someone friend; and to those people, he would fight alongside as needed, without question. An odd one James is.

hateships

James is not the one to go out willy nilly and make friends; nor is he the one to go out of his way to make enemies. The closest to this he may get is a rival; someone to push him to his limits and learn from his mistakes. Of course, James can be a rather blunt and straightforward person, which could get him into trouble if he says the wrong thing to the wrong person without realizing it. For a smart guy, he can sure make mistakes easily. He will also be blunt in that if he does not like you for whatever reason, he will tell you; whether you take what he said as something to grow on, or something to hate him more by, is your choice.

relationships

James is not the one to want to get emotionally or sexually attached to someone. The closest you will get to this is a very, very close friendship (however, I will accept romantic attraction for him later on in his journey). He had grown up putting his schooling before such needs, so James put romantic attraction far behind him, and still usually does. He has yet to meet someone to change that.
