It was early in the morning and nix stood in the doorway of the house before her and shivered, this felt so odd. It had only been hers for a few months but she had spent so much time here being unhappy and hungry and unloved that she really didnt want to stay within in, no, she wanted to be out on the road as soon as she could do. Her partner could sense her unhappiness and stared at the door way like his trainer, though he was dying to run inside and explore the building as this was his first time being the house. Nix looked down and noted the fire type wagging his tail and smiled, he was right really. This had been her grandmothers home but now it was her;s and she could do with it whatever she wanted. That thought in mind, she pushed the door open and let the canine run inside before she turned and wandered down the path and sat at the edge of it. He was welcome to run about the place, it wasnt most clean aside her own room which she had been watching the dirt on because she didnt want to find feral pokemon in there. She watched the street before her and found herself wondering if anyone would happen across her here, she wasnt sure if she wanted anyone to or not but if it happened she would have to deal with it........

The fresh morning air always lifted Richard’s spirit and they were in deep need of lifting. He had just finished having a heated argument with his mother and eldest brother about traveling before even having time to get dressed for his run. He needed to get out. His usual route took him through the spares market that was just starting to open and down some residential streets. The normal route was too short and did not burn off the extra frustration the morning battle had brought despite leaving him out of breath. It was too early to pester Gwen, his eldest sister would be getting ready for the day of work. Time for a new route.
Jogging down a new street, Richard took in the houses. Many families had just started getting ready and Richard caught glimpses of families sitting down for breakfast or a mother chasing her children off to school. What he didn’t expect to see was a bright head of red hair sitting at the end of the street. Could it be her? Had fate given him another encounter with the girl of his dreams? He ran harder hoping it was so. Her hair reflected the rising sun, making it look as if amber was flowing down her shoulders. He just needed to get a glimpse of her eyes. Those deep green eyes and he would know!
(assume that he’ll just stare at her for a good long while if you want. To the point of it being awkward.)

Nix sat on the edge of the street and felt her heart sink a little, she looked up to see a mother dash past her with lunch bags in hand and hand them to a pair of child. A boy and a girl, the female the elder. The red-head had always wanted a family like that, they looked out for each other and made each other happy. Her own had been ripped away from her far too soon, all she really had of her parents were stories. She sighed a little at this before a bark behind her told her kitzu was done with the upper floors of the building and now running about downstairs, she turned back and watched the little bolt of yellow shot past a window before heading to the back of the building.
The girl gave a little smirk at this, sitting a little higher from the glance and turning forwards only to note a new figure. The child had long since run off to their classes and nix now found herself watching an elder male who stood in the street. Was it her or was he looking at her? She tilted her head a little and her eyes looked to find his, who was he?

For what seemed like an eternity he finally caught a glimpse of her eyes. They were indeed green, but he couldn’t tell from this far. He needed a closer look.
But he was in no shape to encounter his beloved. He was drenched in sweat, wearing a tattered shirt and a loose pair of shorts. Richard froze like a deer in headlights. Words from his sister gave him confidence to approach the girl. Your beloved will accept all of you.
Richard approached the girl with smile and a wave. “Morning, Sweetheart. How’s it going?”

NIX NIGHT
Night's Shadow Nix watched the male with close eyes and then a noise behind her made her jump and she turned, she could see a pair of ears facing the window and she laughed softly to herself. Kitzu jumped up and knocked his head on the window as he had done a moment before and barked once again, clearly excited at finding and playing in this new place. His trainer waved to him and he took it as a sign and shot off up the stairs once more as nix remembered the other human.
She turned back to see the male now much closer, her eyes growing wide as she saw him come close and she forced her hands int o the ground and stood up. Her hands lowered with out thinking to dust herself down, then looked up as she heard the males voice. "Well hi there" she said with a little raise of one of her eyebrows, he was very forward.

Leaning with his arms resting on the fence, Richard made himself comfortable. He had never jogged in this area before and the house before him was a nice solid structure. It was quaint with the pastel colouring with stone walls and the over grown lawn gave it charm. Perhaps this was her childhood home.
“Nice morning we got today. Great for a run,” he turned his eyes off the girl to see a dash of yellow in the house, looked like the younger of the two had taken over the house. With a chuckle to himself he gestured to the house, “Looks like I’m not the only one who thinks so.”
He was much closer to the girl, which revealed more details about her. She did have marvelous green eyes, shielded by long eyelashes that matched her ginger hair. A lovely complexion, void of any notable imperfections. But now that he had a better description, he couldn’t make out the details of his beloved from their first fated encounter. His memory gave him a hazy picture, unable to grasp at solid details to compare. Her eyes were foggy and her complexion difficult to remember. The only thing he knew for sure was that her clothes had change to something simpler than the dynamic cape and traveling boots he had first seen her in.
This girl looked rather young. Had he fallen for a child?

NIX NIGHT
Night's Shadow Nix dipped her head in greeting as the male up closer, he seemed to look around the building behind her and she was waiting to hear the question from him about her family. She disliked the fact her family had been so well known, her stories of her great grand parents a good thing but the line in the middle between her own parents and them was a lesser one in her mind. Unfortunately it was a popular one in the towns, she frowned a little at this before he spoke again.
"Yes, my partner is new to the place and it seems he likes to explore it" she said with a wave of a hand, a shot of yellow diving past the window as if to prove her point. "Running out on a reason or just out to keep the pulse high?" she asked as she looked the male over, he was older than her she was sure. Seemed the type of be out wandering the street but maybe not coming up to strangers, though maybe that was merely her guessing

Partner? Richard looked back at the house with an eyebrow raised, only to catch a glimps of a yellow ear darting past another window. Ah so the yellow thing running inside the house was a pokemon. Now things were make more sense. If her partner was new to her home, then perhaps this wasn’t his girl. He had been so close, but still had further to go. Richard hid his disappointment behind a simple smile, still no reason to end the conversation early. Perhaps she knew the woman he was after.
Her voice brought him back from his thoughts. He stopped looking into space and focused back at the red-headed youth in front of him. “Both, actually.”
“The name’s Richard,” he said extending a hand as he stood up fully. “I help run the corner store up in the northeast part of town. And I have the honour of meeting the lovely lady…?”

NIX NIGHT
Night's Shadow Nix saw the males eye dart behind her as kitzu moved past a window, was he watching him. No, it seemed only a moment was spent on the fox pokemon before the male looked back to her and spoke to her. So he had a reason to be out, she wanted to ask why and to be nosy but that would only lead her in to trouble she imagined.
She took the hand he offered, shaking it with a little force to show she was not a simple little female to be knocked over but not enough to be aggressive. The worst thing when meeting someone was a weak hand shake, many shared that pet peeve. "Nice to meet you Richard, my name is Nix. Nix Night, my partner back there is Kitzu but im sure he will come out once he's gone through all the rooms" she said with a nod of her head as another, fainted, bark reached her ears. Clearly the fox had heard his name side but was exploring something, maybe her room. She didnt know, and she didnt really mind.

“Nix and Kitzu?” The odd names didn’t falter his smile, but he did raise a brow at the introduction. Despite the uniqueness the names seemed to work for the spirited pair. An approving smile and a nod crossed the man’s face as he returned his hand on the fence.
“So how did you get your pokemon?” Richard asked leaning forward, forgetting about his sweaty odour, “It isn’t very common for people to have domestic pokemon. I’ve only ever seen a few mercenaries and researchers have ‘em. Plus the trainers that run the local school.” He gestured with the tilt of his head in the direction most of the children were going. The laboratory held the local school where trainers would teach children the basics of living with pokemon, simple writing and reading, and a bit of math. It was a privilege to be able to attend a whole day as most families needed the kids back home to help with work.
“What do you do that requires having a pokemon partner?”
