January 15th, Year 1

Maybe just like one Connection point here or something and like a point or two of happiness for the Elgyem? And anything else you can think of, I guess.
“NO!”
Muscles rippled under skin. Torso lunged upwards. Arms rose, and elbows bent to block!
Eyes flashed open reflecting the darkness defined only by the dim moonlight that poured in upon the few pieces of furniture in the room, yet it was enough then to jar him from the realization that he was not about to be killed. He was not there. He hadn’t been there in years. He knew that place, and this wasn’t there. He wasn’t there. It was just a dream… it was just a dream… his mind circled the phrase as the heavy sound of uneven breaths shattered the still of night. A lip was bit, and a breath was held before an exhale was made as if to try and restore balance. It did little good.
Slowly arms lowered themselves, one hand gripping the bed sheets and the other pressing down a throbbing chest as Alessio leaned forwards and tried to catch his breath. It was just a dream. It was just a dream… it was just a dream… he lisped the words before the hand once gripping the bed sheets reached up to set itself to brace thumb and index finger across his lower forehead from temple to temple allowing other fingers to drop concealing tense features from what monsters could peer out of the darkness. Nothing’s there… it was just a dream…
Slowly the pounding began to slow, and a heavy sigh finally escaped as Alessio lowered his hands curling them in on each other in front of himself. Eyes shut, and lips pressed together the only sound now being the controlled motion of his breath. It was just a dream… A terrible, horrible dream that he hated with every fiber of his being. In the last couple of night or so, he had come to regret not taking the Drowzee when he had the chance. Alessio slowly leaned up only to flop back down against the pillows his body rolling to one side and his knees curling into his stomach under the sheets. Just go back to sleep…no need to wake Carmen… Had she heard? He knew not but didn’t want to bother her if she wasn’t already awake by now. Considering how frequent it was, he didn’t doubt she’d come to learn to sleep through the initial shouting that normally escaped from his dream filled mouth. He shut his eyes tightly. Just go back to sleep.
It didn’t work. After an hour of willing himself to sleep, he knew it was impossible. Slowly sitting up again, Alessip reached across the night stand to the pokeballs laid out there. Fishing up the Elgyem’s, he hit the release causing a white light to briefly flash through the room as the pokemon took form on the bed in front of him. “When do you learn Dream Eater? Or can you do such a thing?” Alessio asked his tone demanding and gruff.
The Elgyem rubbed one large eye and blinked with the other in question. W-what was Alessio doing up so late… or so early? The sun wasn’t even up yet… and what? Dream Eater? “El…” he mumbled back giving a small shrug. He didn’t think that was a move he could learn- but then again wasn’t it his trainer’s job to look such things up? Why was he asking him in the middle of the night about…. And suddenly the Elgyem remembered the discussion between the professor and Alessio. The professor had mentioned something about dreams- and that was why Alessio had been looking at the Drowzee and then…weirdly picked him. Was he regretting it now or…?
Alessio, meanwhile sighed and flopped back on his pillows feeling as though he should have known that would be the answer. Ugh just screw the world he should have gone with the damn Drowzee. At least he wouldn’t still be dreaming this …this ridiculousness. The Elgyem, meanwhile, frowned a little more or less understanding that his answer was not something Alessio had wanted to hear. A small apologetic ‘El’ escaped into the air but was only followed by a groan from Alessio. “I don’t care about your excuses or apologies,” was the flat statement as Alessio rolled over and pulled the blanket over his head. The Elgyem sighed uncertain of what to do- considering Alessio still had his pokeball in his other hand and all….
Pausing a moment, the small Psychic hopped off the bed and only the floor- making a small ‘click’ sound in the process. Maybe he should go find that woman he’d met earlier- Alessio’s sister, and see if she could do anything since…yeah. He had no idea what to do in this situation. However, just as he was headed to the door, the Elgyem caught sight of the jacket hanging off the corner of a chair, and a small brief smile came to his features. Walking over as quickly as he could, which was arguably very slow to anyone else, he managed to climb up onto the seat of the chair before fishing the coat off the back and holding it forwards. “El-gyem…” he called abet quieter because it was the middle of the night and all…
His trainer didn’t move, and the Elgyem frowned a little glancing down at the coat and then up again. Hopping off the chair and walking back over to the bed- doing his best to climb with the coat now, the Elgyem ended up throwing the bulk of the coat over the bed before scaling up. The shift in the weight of the bed caused Alessio to pull the blankets from over his face to stare at his pokemon only to blink it confusion upon seeing …his jacket? What was that supposed to do? He was about to ask when the Elgyem went so far as to put the jacket on- well as much of it as he could put on considering it was huge in comparison. Despite the little light in the room, or possibly because of it, the sight of his pokemon with his jacket was… weirdly funny to Alessio. Surprising even himself, he’d allowed a small snorted ‘heh’ to escape from him and a weird sort of half smile to crawl up on his lips.
The Elgyem beamed at being able to bring a subtle smile to his trainer’s features, and briefly he threw his arms up in a sort of ‘yay’ fashion. “Gyem!” he cried a tad louder than he should have causing Alessio to jump startled. Quickly lowering his arms, the Elgyem broke into a fit of mumbles and rubbed the back of his head. Alessio sighed a little before sitting up entirely and picking up the Elgyem from his coat and to the surprise again of everyone involved, he ended up holding him close. “Non mi pento dannatamente decisione,” Alessio muttered to himself shutting both eyes briefly before setting the stunned Psychic down. Wait what had he said? The Elgyem had no clue. Blinking and head tilting in question, the Elgyem stared. “You’re interesting, Rico,” was the only statement that escaped from Alessio before the young man raised the pokeball and returned his Elgyem before any questions could be asked. Suddenly sucked into the pokeball, the Elgyem couldn’t quite resist it and disappeared inside. Glancing down at the pokeball thereafter, Alessio allowed a tentative small smirk to come to his features before returning the ball to the nightstand.
Briefly he seized his coat and was about to toss it back on the back of the chair again when he paused the strange image of the Elgyem still in his mind. After a moment, Alessio sighed reching forwards to tug the blankets back up, and the coat along with him. Closing his eyes, the young man didn’t realize when he’d drift off again- as there were no more interruptions till the morning.
