Like String Around Her Fingers [SoJasp's Plots]

Yo-
For those who don't know me, you can call me Jasper though I also go by Jay/Jayspurr in the chatbox. I decided to make one sheet for all of my character plots so bear with me here as I try and figure out how I want to divide them up and the like.

Jasper is the oldest of five children and the only one to have lived apart from Mi-aro for a time. Considering there is such a large age gap between himself and his younger siblings, Jasper tends to associate them as children even as they are now teens/early adults and has a rather difficult time seeing them any other way. I'd really like one or more of his siblings to be played, if anyone's willing, considering there could be a number of different family relationships established / changed / whatever that could be interesting to write. Apart from ages and names, I haven't put much thought into his siblings. They are there name wise in his history, there isn't really any information, so again you could go and do almost whatever, really. Yeah. That's it.  --Oh! I suppose physical resemblance would probably be obvious, but they're not Officer Jennys or Nurse oh wait yeah his mom was totally a Joy clones, so feel free to have some variation. I may put a few suggestions for FCs if I happen to come across something I personally like but don't feel required to use one of those FCs.

Anyways, outside of that, friends, enemies, frienemies, what have you, I'd love to hear some suggestions and such. While romance is not off the table, Jasper hasn't had much luck in past relationships and keeps assuring himself he'd be fine if he ended up alone- which that mentality in itself is rather detriment to trying to start a decent relationship in the first place. However, he is a caring man, someone who looks at the mind of a person over any physical qualities, and if he does become infatuated, he gets downright awkward and a bit cheesy but tries his hardest not to screw stuff up.

Alessio has one sister whom he came through the Legend Portal with around eight years ago. Her name is Carmen Cassano, and she is by far one of the most influential people in Alessio's life. He would bend over backwards for her whims let alone what she truly wanted if she voiced it, anyways. Her personality has been set at extremely loving of family and a tad emotional during his pressure situations (please read Alessio's history for details on that). However, there is a lot one could do with her that I'd be fine with. If you have any ideas, just shoot me a PM.

That being said, friends are something that don't come easy to Alessio. He keeps others at arm's distance if not farther simply because of his skeptical view of social intimacy born from years of more or less hell in his life. This applies to those after his heart as well. He doesn't readily recognize his own emotions (even when he can more readily tell the emotions of others, or at least in part know what they're feeling due to their facial expressions and the like), so realizing that he's crushing on someone is... awkward at best. I'm not exactly sure what he goes for, that being said, and I don't think he readily knows either- though maybe someone akin to his sister in that complete kindness might be a step in the door.

More likely than anything, he'll run into a number of enemies or rivals simply due to his rather harsh nature. Alessio is not completely blunt but very readily skeptical and can be very cruel without even thinking about it or batting an eyelash. The world is hash, and Alessio feels no need to butter it up or paint it a more soothing color for anyone. Most will find he rubs them the wrong way if they don't readily see that is his general nature- and even then many may be put off by it, so yeah.

However I'd love to see some ideas!

It occurs to me that Endre probably knows Jasper particularly well, what with being the local dumbass who braved the wilderness without a Pokemon for 25 years. xD He can, has, and will continue to punch bears in the face (not the least of which will probably be his starter once he evolves, because sparring is fun), but the consequences of that have probably been more than a few extremely serious wounds. It wouldn't surprise me if on one or more occasions Jasper just sort of walked up on Endre lying injured on the side of the Winding Path, insisting he was totally fine and just taking a quick rest but, you know, not turning down the help if it was offered or anything... X"3

Endre would probably be slightly infatuated toward him, even. Not a "crush" per se. More casual and less 'heart-skips-a-beat' than that. Just like, a particular admiration / 'wow he's ~really cool~' type of attitude as just a light background feeling. He doesn't consider himself unintelligent by any means but anyone who can retain so very much practical knowledge earns quite a bit of respect from him and that Jasper employs it to aide others is just tons of bonus points. Something that isn't especially romantic but might come off as light vibes of it and could veer that direction with provocation. Not that Endre really does "relationships" in a traditional sense but yeh.


As another option/addition, if you wanted, we could have them be really old friends. Both came through the portal almost immediately after it opened and were involved in the building of Port City, and where Jasper was 13, Endre was 17 at the time. So he was baaaasically an adult, and especially with his size and military experience he was probably kept pretty busy, but I could see him seeking out other teens on work sites both for a change of conversational pace while working and to offer assistance to weaker workers. So if Jasper would have been receptive we could have them know each other from almost the very beginning or any time since then. :3

Totally open to alternate ideas or further details ofc.

X'3 And said so in chatbox earlier but repeating here because why not, if you do end up having him be sort-of-friends with Morgan, he should be consequentially aware of and endlessly annoyed by Sera.. who has probably hit on him at least once or twice in recent years because what age difference weirdness. But yeah I can just.. imagine her standing out if/when treated as a patient because she's just such a fucking nutcase. ... XD And now that I say that I wonder if she'd stand out more for being obnoxious by his standards or curiosity at what kind of mental shit she's got going on. Does he function as that kind of doctor, or is he more strictly physical? Annnyway. Aside from frivolty/occasional inappropriateness/etc I just.. imagine her popping in uninvited occasionally. She IS extremely intelligent and adores learning and all her quirks back then could probably be written off as 'kids being kids' and ~imagination~ but now she's an adult and never.. really grew out of any of it in fact she might be even worse about delusional obsessions with fantasies and yeah.

"You....ahem....sir, need to take better care of yourself," Jasper nearly sighed as he fought the urge to mummify Endre in gauze. He tried ever so hard not to sound exasperated, but this was the fourth time this month... and the month wasn't even half way in. Arceus forbid he ever snap at a patient, but the man just....needed to take better care of himself and not go running into the woods undefended. Briefly, Jasper's chest hurt, as if the lacerations he had been dealt in the past were having sympathy pains- or maybe that was his heart which in that case he hoped it wasn't the sign of cardiovascular shock.

Hahahha, for whatever reason the image above came to mind from your first paragraph. I do enjoy the thought of Jasper finding himself strained between wanting to care for Endre's wounds and beat him upside the head for being stupid.Jasper would like to remind everyone violence is never the answer, however. I also like the idea that they did, in fact, know each other from that long ago considering I'd imagine it was a sort of scramble to get things organized in the beginning, and Jasper would take whatever help he could get and probably try to be decent with his father staring over his shoulder. I haven't read Endre's history yet, but that would definitly be pretty cool. As a side note, I keep typing endear instead of Endre. I don't know if you planned that or what but all I can imagine is a small child!Endre with an Ursaring stuffie.

Oh gosh, Jasper doesn't enjoy PDA let alone being hit on especially in public. He'd be somewhere between "your very existence annoys me pink beacon of diabetes" (which in a way I just realized he called her sweet/sugary and now I'm laughing that when/if he realized this he'd probably find himself incredibly funny laugh at his own jokes) and " :I can we please be professional? " And actually if he caught on fully how intelligent she was and then sat between that and "but she's ridiculous" he probably would start to wonder how her mental state actually worked. However, despite having read a few books on psychological approaches that he could get his hands on, Jasper isn't someone who feels capable of making accurate assumptions on the mental order of man/woman/child and the Bones part of him refutes a lot of what can't be directly proven which psychology claims.

But- LOL if she was actually interested in what they were reading that would be a totally different story, and he'd probably ask for what literary input she could give- considering everyone has their own sight and intellectual conversation is fantastic forever no you can't understand his love of it is second only to his love of science.

...xD and now I stop to wonder if his application to his siblings not being allowed to age would possibly apply to other people in his mind. I haven't delved into it too much, but she might still be seen as a small child to him especially considering her personality hasn't changed / she hasn't grown out of it, and thus if that was the case, all of her comments would still be written off as a "she's just a kid" almost always.

Amber and Jasper really need to hang out.

Amber may love all of her Joy clone siblings/cousins/second-cousins/aunts/what-have-you, but even if she had absolutely no idea how they're connected on the family tree, spending time with a 'cousin' who's not a Joy would be nice, since she's kind of atypical and stands out for it, and, honestly, his sheer dedication to his job would probably make her look up to him to some degree. Also, he can be as sarcastic as he wants and she's probably not gonna call him on it. Even if her main area of study is linguistics, she still has basic medical knowledge--because there was no way her Ma was letting her go anywhere near those feral pokemon without that--so I could see her possibly helping him a little here and there if they run into each other and it's a situation she feels she could actually be of use in.

...And just as an addition to the second part of EssGee's post, if that book-buddy thing happens, and the Sera popping up uninvited thing happens, Amber would maaaaaaaybe start to take notice of the fact that young women around her age are hanging around Jasper and pull the same thing. "Howdy, cousin! Oh, hey, who are yer friends? Mind if I join you?" Because, hey, eye-candy is eye-candy, even the crazy one.

Yes, they should definitely hang out. Jasper likes the idea of having a medical buddy even if her skills aren't phantasmal He'd also just genuinely respect the fact that she was atypical of the nurse clan mentality simply because there are plenty of roles to fill in the world, and he knows this. Hahah, I just imagine someone noting Jasper being surrounded by all these young women and pointing it out to him. He'd get so very awkward so quickly in the general "it's not like that" but in more professional terms.

Though now all I can imagine is Jasper with an unintentional book club with maybe only one other random man in the group hahaha.

I really like the idea of an informal book club xDD Morgan doesn't know how2social but given that Jasper doesn't small talk either I think they would get on rather famously and just jump into "so what are you reading at the moment?" and/or "any interesting procedures you've done lately?" Morgan's probably at least a wee bit squeamish but given her father's not very talkative/is sort of the "'Well Done Son' Guy" and doesn't/hasn't done much besides going to trainer-etc. school at the lab and stealing borrowing books from the lab (she gives them back, honest! it's just that she...never...exactly asked permission) she just.. I've already established she doesn't have many/any friends, so she'd latch on to anyone she could have conversation with and not feel awkward, and she'd much rather feel a little grossed-out/sympathy pain than awkward, aha.

xD So now I'm thinking Jasper might actually be generally cool with Sera, unless he took particular notice of how much of a dick she was being to Morgan in interrupting their book exchanges, which he could prooobably write off as unintentional or just family dynamics that he shouldn't judge, since Morgan isn't the type who'd openly make note of it and in more recent years has just taken to passive aggression, so for all he knows it's just one of those cases where being dickish to each other just shows how strong their bond is. XP (Like there probably isn't anyone I could insult as thoroughly as Flora because she knows beyond any doubt I'm playing and vice versa. X3)

So she'd probably be eternally-young in his head and her sweet facade just 'oh you're so cute~', combined with a few uncomfortable moments of "SERA, STAHP, WUT IZ THIS, NO, STAHP" when she tries hitting on him or her inner bitch shows through enough or she does something just over-the-top impractical enough that he can't write it off as cute kid stuff due to but this is so wastefullll. But then after the fact 'oh good she's twelve again' and in hindsight let's pretend that wasn't actually as bad as it seemed when it was happening. X'3 Which would just... piss Morgan off to no end like HOW CAN YOU NOT SEE HOW TERRIBLE SHE IS ugh fine continued passive aggression.

As for book club~

I don't imagine Jasper would just start hanging out with a teenage girl out of the blue, so the orignal meetings were probably brief, exchange books, chat for five minutes, okay cool bye. Like maybe Morgan could have been sort-of-friends/acquaintances with one of Jasper's siblings from trainer school? As a way of getting them introduced in the first place. Maybe leave vague which one to leave options more open for anyone who wants to play siblings, and even that probably started 'oh hey that's a cool book you're reading' 'thanks I'm really enjoying it you like books?' 'yes books r gr8' or some other trivial common interest that makes the bulk of their conversations, because Morgan. x3

But then I could see Sera coming in once or twice just being generally annoying before finally expressing interest in books and Morgan's just ugh it's this now go away and then Sera opens her mouth and holy shit actually intelligent critical analysis pours out and Jasper's  oh yes that is interesting point, although also counterpoint and Morgan's just ".... this is why I can't have nice things. " But hey! Sera's chatty! Much moreso than the other two, and she can get Jasper talking, so the visits start slowly extending from a few minutes to half an hour to whoa when did an hour pass.

Amber's accompanying Jasper one day for whatever reason and he's 'oh hey I have a thing to do I'll try to make it quick today', but they get there and ~eye candy~! So Amber's 'oh don't mind me take as long as you need. :'3'

Then Sera might bring a friend from trainer school occasionally, and a few other people start taking notice. Maybe one of the girls working at the lab notices Morgan sneaking off with a book so Morgan is 'oh, I.. totally got permission for this. Sorry I thought you knew. Yes it's for book club it's ~totally~ cool alsoI'llbringitrightbackokayyes?' and lab girl is 'ooh book club? :U'

And whoops when did this turn into such a large gathering.

And Morgan's dad is kind of torn between when did so many people start visiting so often I can't even go in my own living room omfg and ... :'3 oh look the reputable doctor wheeeelp I guess at least she's socializing (what no of course he wouldn't notice her sitting awkwardly in the corner when everyone else started getting too talkative) and at least there's a responsible adult keeping an eye on these hooligans okay fine.

x'3 Also if/when Sera noticed Amber was attracted to her she'd probably start flirting (back?) a bit though in such a way that it might be hard to tell if she was actually being flirtacious or just 'that kind' of teenage girl who acts like that around platonic friends for fun.

Pfff...If Sera acted at all remotely flirty toward Amber, she'd probably end up blushing and scurrying off into the corner to hide with Morgan.  Flirty girls show her for the awkward, inexperienced tomboy she is, because while Amber can social, most of her friends growing up were guys, pokemon, or people who were related to her, so even if she thought that Sera didn't really mean it like that she is not used to that kind of thing.

...In fact, she'd probably realize that Morgan was hiding over there and try to talk to her, anyway, because she's a sweetie like that and doesn't like seeing people left out, but trying to hide from Sera gives her more motivation to do so. Then awkward attempts at making conversation ensues, possibly until she realized that Morgan liked pokemon too and, oh, wow, she actually has similar views to me on the whole battle thing this is awesome most people don't.

…But yeah, he probably wouldn’t fully get the dickishness and would probably frown at it if he did see it but wouldn’t step in completely unless it was bad- a sort of “…….please desist” more or less- because kids need to be apprehended too every once in a while in his mind, but yeah. She’s probably just a small child to him in one form or fashion.
