Hi everybody! Windchime here, and I'm looking to get my characters out and meeting people! I've got descriptions of all three, both a quick description of the character themselves (plus a link to their profile), descriptions of how they tend to interact with people, and even a mention of their potential for romantic attachments. If something catches your eye and you have an idea, let me know, because I'm open to all kinds of things.
Bianca
Profile
Oh, sweetie, trust me...I never turn down company...
Be she currently sweet and seductive, childish and exuberant, or fierce and fiery, Bianca sure isn't ever boring. She even chooses to take naps in strange and/or entertaining places. In another life, in another world, she'd be a party girl rocking the night life. In this one, she's a borderline adrenaline junkie with a mischievous streak who rarely passes up a chance to playfully flirt with anyone she thinks may be interested, regardless of gender. A mercenary who considers taming feral pokemon to be the perfect way to make a living, she pairs a kind heart with a will of iron, both of which most definitely run in her family.
Bianca's pretty much open to interaction, as she has no problem making conversation with complete strangers to passing acquaintances alike, more than willing to strike up one simply over the fact that the other person is a trainer or she kinda-sorta recognizes them from somewhere ('Hey, you went to trainer's school with my little sister, right?'). She's always up for sparring battles, taking on escort jobs between towns, or just hanging around and swapping pokemon training stories. And there is almost certain to be flirting, or at least admiring, because Bianca considers anyone over the age of eighteen and single who shows the slightest bit of attraction toward her to be fair game.
Strong friendships are a harder thing to achieve, but anyone who puts up with her nonsense long enough is bound to end up with her having a distinct soft spot for them. She still tends to keep people at arm's length--emotionally, not physically; she's downright cuddly physically--and not confide in them, much, though.
As for potential romance...Flings are frequent, but Bianca's half-convinced that she can't feel genuine romantic love, which, while not true, is reflective of how difficult it is for her. 'Her type' for something actually long term is a hard thing to pin down and very much a case of 'well, let's throw them together and see if something happens,' but someone would probably have to be particularly extroverted, and likely a bit strange/crazy, to catch her attention on a level beyond being another pretty face.
Amber
Profile
Well, howdy there, sugar! Amber Joy, Pokemon Researcher, at yer service.
Meet Amber, the Joy-clan cowgirl. She's got the blue jeans, leather boots, hat, accent, the whole she-bang. The sweet, enduring patience and burning desire to help others of a Joy wrapped up in a tough, physical ranch girl package, she could probably pass as someone not of their clan, but she wouldn't dream of it! Being a Joy is very important to Amber, even if her medical knowledge is limited to basic first aid and she has no desire to work in an Inn. Instead, she's a Researcher whose passion is discovering the wealth of differences between the old world and new, and who is particularly enthusiastic about figuring out how to teach pokemon to talk.
Amber's a friendly girl, more than happy to meet people and make their acquaintance, and will gladly help someone with no thought to a reward. She's got patience like a saint, and hates to quarrel. Don't expect her to spar, but she'll tag along for non-fighting training (target practice on non-living targets, anyone?) It's easy to be her friend, even if the character in question is horribly abrasive, as long as they're not cruel, including and especially toward pokemon. Be as awkward/sarcastic/offensive toward her as you want! She'll forgive most things with an 'I'm sorry,' too, even if you do manage to push her too far.
Amber is exclusively attracted to women, without exception, but is extremely inexperienced with romance. Twenty-three and never been kissed. Flirting, either being on the receiving end or--Arceus forbid--trying to do so herself, will generally lead to furious blushing, stammering like a fool, and possible blurting of non-sequiturs as she tries to remove herself from the situation before she loses all of her dignity. While physically pretty girls can draw her eye and fluster her terribly, her ideal woman is intelligent and has a good heart with everything else being secondary.
Vanessa / Viola
Profile
Um, hi there...A-Are you okay? Is th-there something wr-wrong? Well, i-it's just that you...you've been staring at...
Oh, screw it. Just take a picture already! I'll even take off the eye patch if it'll make you stop gawking like an idiot.
With heavy facial scarring, including a missing eye, and a personality split into a pair of extremes, Vanessa and Viola are certainly a unique woman, but there's more to them than a cut-up face and a mental illness. Before they came to Mi-aro, ten years after the portal initially opened, all they knew was how to clean a house, and how to slash someone's throat with a knife. Even now, they have trouble getting along with others, not the least because Vanessa is jumpy and easily made nervous and Viola is abrasive and easily made angry, and they can be ignorant of a great deal of things, including about pokemon. They barely know how to be a trainer, but what they do know, and love, these days is alchemy. A survivor looking to find, cultivate, and mix together native M-aro plants to help others, they are stubbornly clawing themselves into a position where they can benefit the society that took them in.
Threads with these two are a little harder, because they aren't overly social. Being distrustful by default due to a lot of emotional scars and just plain being socially inept means they don't tend to approach other people. They're more open if a pokemon catches their eye, but the ones that can break the ice are generally the 'scary' ones. Dark colours, sharp spikes, and the like. If someone approaches them, though, they can generally keep a conversation going, since one personality can swap in if the other is running out of things to say.
When it comes to getting close to them, the good thing is that the two are always in agreement regarding the important things: whether they like someone, hate someone, or even love someone, the feelings are equal for both. The fact that they recently took the plunge and admitted their split personality when applying for survivor status means that they're a bit more open in regards to sharing their true nature, but a bit more than 'never tell anyone who doesn't already know' still isn't much. Getting caught showing signs of it is actually more likely to lead to a confession of it.
As for romance...Well, they're a package deal, so he better like vulnerable, shy girls and aggressive girls, because trying to favour one over the other is a good way to get a kick somewhere painful from Viola, no matter which of the two is being snubbed. These two figuring out that they've developed feelings for someone would be difficult, to say the least, since they're not good with people and emotions in general. They're most certainly heterosexual...but whether they're hetero-romantic is something to be discovered, though if you thought them figuring out they were falling for a man would be difficult, I don't even know if they'd ever figure out that on their own.
