Hello everyone - as you've doubtless already gathered, I'm Grimalkin.
I've been on this site a few days now, and only just remembered that I had yet to post one of these, so here I am.
Pokemon was among my first fandoms - at least, one of the first that I immersed myself in - which is one of the factors that makes me particularly glad that I found this little corner of the internet. Another factor is the friendliness and approachability I encountered in everyone I met on the Cbox while ruminating over whether I should join - including both the mods and the owner of the site. Not everywhere I've gone to roleplay has had such accessibility in that regard, users of that echelon seeming somewhat removed or put on pedestals. Maybe it's in there being a Cbox or something, but it's been less daunting to chat and set up here, at least from my perspective. I also really like the worldbuilding and attention to detail - this is the kind of place I've been searching for since I started roleplaying online. No more tilting at windmills, I'm here~
Anyway, I've a particular soft spot for playing Researcher-type characters, particularly if they're a bit mad - kind of like Sparks from that one webcomic Girl Genius. I've always liked mad science characters. I've already integrated one of my longest-running characters into that role - whether I try working in any of my others, I'm not sure. They wouldn't all be Researchers if I did, though. I like that regular users can contribute to the worldbuilding, and submit things like NPCs and religions - it's much more rewarding than having everything predetermined, and adds life to things. I've lost track of what else I was going to say, so I'll leave things here for now.
