Habreena Myrahel
45 | Female | Heterosexual |
Mercenary | Assistant | Mr. R |
appearance
Habreena is beautiful. We can start there- She doesn't look like any old fourty-five year old woman. In fact, she doesn't look a day over thirty. Her skin is pale, yes, but smooth, unblemished, not so much as a freckle to mar her perfect complexion. She has a lovely, full hourglass figure, with wide hips and a very nice bust. Her body is soft enough to maintain appearances, certainly not raising any sort of alarms. But there's strength there, enough to restrain a man. Even though most of the time she doesn't dirty her hands by doing such things herself.
Her hair is a deep, rich black, tinted with just enough brown for a bit of warmth, falling in loose waves past her shoulders. She keeps it loose, most of the time, but has pinned it back on occasion, or when she needs to come across as extra official. Habreena has high, elegant cheekbones, and just a bit of softness to blunt away any potential harshness of her face. Her eyes are slightly angled, and she always has fancy make up on. In fact, in another life, she could probably try out to be a model.
Save for her eyes. Her eyes are a dark reddish-brown, which should be warm and comforting. But they aren't. They are cold, and haunting, and soulless, with no life or breath behind them. It's easy to miss- she has a great many other things you could focus on, after all- but if there's any visual representation that this woman isn't as pleasant as she seems... That's it.

clothing
everyday Habreena makes a point to always look good. You're not going to find her mud-caked, that's for sure. A nice blouse, dress pants, dark heels, and a few subtle bits of jewelry. She is beautiful, and professional, and she certainly has money. Habreena's not the type for "rough-house" clothes. You'll find no tattered jeans or old t-shirt anywhere near this woman. Dress blacks and pencil skirts? Absolutely. | formal A slinky, well-fitting black dress, complete with black heels. How she managed to save these through the apocalypse is anyone's guess. She also has diamonds she likes to wear but... Most of the events she goes too certainly don't deserve too see such fine things. |
backpack
Backpack? Like she's some sort of dirty hiker sleeping in the wilds? Please. She has a plain black briefcase, and a simple black leather purse. Where she is and what she's doing affects which one she uses. Habreena's not going to go to some classy dinner with a briefcase at her side, after all.
personality
Manipulative - Habreena knows how to read people, and how to get in their good graces. She knows what people need the most, in their weak moments, and can shift to be that person. Are you looking for a damsel in distress to save? Oh, well she needs your help- Some hooligan has attacked, and she's just a frail, weak woman- won't you please help her? You want someone smart, or someone powerful- It really doesn't matter what she needs to be to gain your trust. She can fake it with the best of them.
Self Serving - At first, she makes a point to act like she's doing everything for whomever she's trying to manipulate. Habreena gives people second chances, after all- She just wants them to succeed! However, once the target is fully ensnared, the pretenses drop. She's still nice (when you deserve it) and still makes things out to be for the other person's benefit... But she will not hesitate to remind her "employee" that they are there, and still alive, because she still has use for them. So, really, she thinks it easiest for everyone if people would just behave.
Merciless - Habreena doesn't care who helps her. So long as she gets what she wants, who actually does it isn't of consequence. That means, to her, people are easily replaced. There's always some lost, confused thing that's just come through the portal, or some dirty street urchin, some orphaned child. There are plenty of people she can snap up, so Habreena doesn't like wasting time begging people to stay- Not that she would anyway. If her employees don't live up to her expectations, Habreena ensures they know she's disappointed. Sometimes it's little. A skipped meal, sleeping outside. Sometimes it's not. Habreena operates on a three-strike policy. You disappoint her three times... Well, where do you think she got her Yamask?
Charming - With all that above, why would anyone want to go near this woman? Well, she's an exceptionally good liar. Habreena is good at hiding her displeasure, good at masking thoughts of ill will. Habreena has a natural charisma about her, the kind of person you just want to go up and talk to- And her natural beauty certainly doesn't hurt in that regard. She's well educated, and is able to hold conversations on a variety of subjects. Oh,and she can fake being human very, very well. Habreena can be sympathetic when a family member or beloved pokemon dies. She will smile and congratulate you on your promotion. She will flirt back, and be coy, and shy at times, and she'll remember to ask how your wife's doing, is she feeling better?
Malicious - But, really, all that's just a front. This is a new world, after all- One that's unclaimed, really. And someone needs to step forward, take the taurus by the horns and claim all of this waiting land. And rule over it. Of course, she's not foolish enough to think she can just charge in at this point- No. That's what the survivors and researchers and all those other.... people.... are for. That's why she's working for Mr. R. So he and the others can clear her an easy path- So, when the time's right, she can take over. And return Rocket to their former glory.

the backstory
TW: animal death, implied physical abuse, heavily implied murder
Habreena doesn't have any sob stories. She wasn't abandoned. Her parents loved here. There was no tragic accident, no striking moment that made her who she is today. There was no singular catalyst to her being a horrid, wretched woman- That's simply who she grew into.
She wasn't exactly a kind child, catty and mean even at six, prone to stealing toys from others, and crying when parental figures showed up. She was soothed, and coddled, and the incidents were never her fault. Her parents did not purposefully cover up any wrongdoings of hers- They simply only had the one child, and wanted her to be happy. So, they did what they could to keep Habreena happy. Such as mistakenly blame all playground spats on the other children, or buy her the things she begged for.
When she was eight, Habreena got her first pokemon. A tame little pidgey, perfect for beginners. It didn't last even a week. Habreena cried for the make-shift backyard funeral, and not five minutes later was begging her parents for another pokemon. They let her pick out whichever one she wanted. What would she get? Another flying type? A classic pikachu? Maybe one of the cute Fairy types?
Habreena picked a houndour, and named him Zokezt. If the other children wouldn't listen to her before, they sure would now. That was when she learned she could control through fear, not just her parents. But, even as she demanded the lunch money of some kids, others would still come to her, and give her their's willingly. She was confused, until she noticed a trend. The boys would offer the same to the pretty girls, but not the ugly ones.
So, Habreena focused on her appearance, as well as her Zokezt. She slowly learned how far she could push people, how many things she could ask before she had to give a little something in return. She learned when she had to smile, and offer help, and when she merely had to wink from across a room. People spoke about training pokemon- No one seemed to realize you could do the exact same to people. And the Team Rocket of old seemed to be touching on that, even if they went about it in a blunt, ungainly way. A person is smart; people are not. People need a singular person ahead to lead them, and that is what Team Rocket tried, and failed, to accomplish. Someone had to step up.
She was twenty when the portal appeared. She was not there personally, but the aftershock rippled the entire world, and she was caught up in the stream of others, viewing the portal as a life saver. A new world, beyond? One uninhabited, untouched- unclaimed? That, certainly, was something she could get behind. No one had to as Habreena twice if she was sure. She did not look back as she stepped through.
Of the three groups that settled, Habreena sided most with Mr. R. Not anyone, after all, could infiltrate a thing like Team Rocket, and manage to rise to the head and overhaul it entirely. That took bravery, intelligence, and cunning. And, if he managed to survive in Rocket for so long, he wasn't as kind and compassionate a creature as he made himself out to be. And, so, she sided with him, over the other two. Birds of a feather, after all.
Mr. R wanted the growing cities bettered, and that was something Habreena could stand behind. She would help him clean up the streets, and clear the path for progress. She could clear the refuse and those who failed to understand what he- what they aimed for. She took on a few who needed aid, convincing them to follow her cause. Most of them listened. One didn't. She- She did her best with him. Habreena gave him every opportunity to succeed. And he refused.
So he was punished. The others obeyed, out of fear. Habreena then had a new Yamask. It obeyed, too. It wasn't long, then, before she met a child, a boy wandering around alone. She offered him help, and after some initial aggression, he agreed. His name was Dinaer. Oh, he was wonderful. She paid him nothing and he came at her beck and call. He grew up, though, as all children eventually do. They money wasn't motivation enough, so she stopped paying him. Habreena had enough motivation. She knew where the kid lived.
Dinaer listened again, and did as she asked. He was helping to rid of the evil that was starting to infest the city, and she couldn't be happier. Her dreams of progress had a chance to be realized. Habreena has, recently, deemed him worthy of his own pokemon, and has sent him off to Mr. R himself to get one. She's well aware of the danger of doing so, the anger Din harbors towards her. But it doesn't matter. She has pokemon of her own, after all, and she has other weapons she can use against him.
Hopefully her Dinaer will not be sent too far from town. Regardless, though, she still intends to help Mr. R improve the cities and strive for progress. With any luck, this world will go far better than the first.
