Lyvain ROTHSCHILD
31 | Female | Bisexual |
Survivor | Tracker | The Ambassador |
appearance
Lyvain is not someone to mess with. While she's somewhat pale, you shouldn't misconstrue her for weak. Because she simply isn't. She's tall, which is terrifying and intimidating on its own, but that 5'11" frame holds well toned muscle. She isn't some delicate Flabebe, that's for sure, with muscle cording around her arms and legs. Ly's no beefy machoke, not by any stretch, but it would certainly take a few rounds to knock her down- And it certainly seems like something's tried. Lyvain spends most of her time living with pokemon, and it shows. She's got scratches near constantly, bruises on occasion, and some long-standing scars on her arms and legs, either form unruly pups or aggressive ferals.
Lyvain could be beautiful, very easily. Her hair is long, and beautifully golden, falling down to her waist. Her face is gently rounded, lips full, eyes a nice shade of blue. A soft smile, a batting of lashes, and she could have anyone at her beck and call. Except, she doesn't. Lyvain doesn't smile much. Her expressions could easily be described as "harsh" or "cold." If you're not a pokemon, she's not overly patient, and often levels glares at other human beings. She's got the perfect lips for kissing, but by Arceus you're more likely to have your throat ripped out with her teeth.
Lyvain is impatient, and that's blatantly obvious. She stands waiting with her arms crossed, fingers tapping irritably. When forced to stand, she shifts her weight often, like she would much rather be somewhere else, which is usually the case. Lyvain usually keeps her hair down, loose, but when training or at formal events, she ties it up in a ponytail, which is still quite long and comes down to the base of her ribs. Her expressions usually default to "bored," "unimpressed," or "irritated." Irritation and anger show easily in her face, an aggressive glare, an unabashed sneer.

clothing
everyday Lyvain wears what she can survive in. She's not going to be caught in skirts or dresses, or some outfit that requires half an hour and two people to put on. Pants, work boots, plain shirts, a jacket solid enough to ward off sticker-bushes and burrs. And, if need be, the occasional bite of a pokemon. She dresses mainly in natural colors... Simply because those are the easiest to get. Also, wearing something lime green out in the wild is a good way to get yourself eaten by something. | formal No. Not in a million years. |
backpack
Lyvain mainly utilizes a belt, with several leather pockets and pouches for storing smaller things, such as pokeballs and potions, small food rations, thread, rope, and other things of that nature. Weapons are strapped across her back, for easy access, and if she needs to bring more (such as clothes, or larger necessities), she has a leather pack she whipped together herself. It's a little rough, and certainly not designer, but it's sturdy, and holds all she needs it to, so?
personality
Stubborn - Practical - Relentless - Blunt - Independent - Aggressive - Loyal to family
Lyvain is a stubborn, stubborn creature. Once she gets something in her head, she's doing it, one way or another. Even if she realizes, halfway through, that maybe it's not the best idea, she said she was going to do it, so she's going to do it. And nothing anyone else can say is going to stop her. This goes double if she's hunting something. Chasing down a pokemon to catch, or run off, or chasing down a person to turn in.... She will not rest until she accomplishes her task.
Lyvain doesn't seem to have any time for frivolousness, or things without purpose. She's not going to buy ineffective things just because they're pretty- Because, when it comes down to it, if you're in a pinch, you need something that works. The good thing about that, is that she can usually get out of her scrapes. The bad thing is that... this bleeds into her verbal choices and treatment of others. Lyvain is not going to sugar-coat her words, and she does not do "little white lies." She is going to say things how she sees them, and if your feelings are hurt then well that really sucks for you.
Lyvain prefers to work alone- She doesn't like relying on people, even for small, simple tasks. If someone does something for her, then she owes them, and she absolutely hates that. It's much, much easier for Lyvain to do something herself. Then, she learns how to do it, and she doesn't have to owe anyone later. Plus, they can't vanish if she needs them later.
Lyvain... might have a temper problem. There's a reason she gets along better with hound pokemon than people. She's territorial, and protective of what she considers family. She's quick to anger, and seems overly prone to taking offense at things. However, this does mean that if you're a friend of hers, she's going to defend you at all costs.
