At first glance, one can immediately tell that Kyra if far from a couch potato. She models a tall, skinny figure that most women would love to have, though she does lack in the bust and curve department. However, one thing is for sure - she doesn't lack in the muscle section.
Though she does have lean muscles, she still lacks in physical strength, which can be quite the disadvantage in battle. What she lacks in strength makes up in speed, though. She prefers to not do brutal force in combat, but to use strategy, since she has more of an advantage in speed.
Her hair, which she inherited from her mother, is in a vibrant red color, which just happens to match her loud, fiery personality. Her hair stops just below her slim shoulders, and the truth is she finds it rather bothersome, hence why most of the time she would throw it into a high ponytail. When it comes to her bangs, though, Kyra would find them anything but troublesome. Strangely, she likes the thought of them hiding her forehead, so it will be almost impossible to catch her with bangs pinned back.
Due to the redhead going outside a lot, she has a light sprinkle of freckles on her cheeks. She hates them, but, there's nothing she could really do about them. Thankfully, though, her bright red eyes demand for more attention than her freckles do. In certain angles, one can even see dark golden speckles scattered throughout her iris.

everyday Kyra adores simplicity, so her choice of clothing is, of course, simple and easy. Kyra's bag is rather plain and simple, similar to this bag over here. It may be a little worn-out, due to it being her mother's old backpack, but it's condition is well enough for her to bring.
personality
Kyra, being the blunt and impatient person she is, will easily leave a bad impression on people. If she likes you, she likes you. If she doesn't like you, well, she's not going to hide it. Her blunt personality also means that she might keep insulting you without even realizing that she is upsetting you. She can't help it - she's not good at hiding her thoughts and emotions. She's trying to stop being so blunt, but she can't promise it'll work.
Her stubborness doesn't help either. Once she makes up her mind, good luck. She's not going to change her opinion, even if a crowd of people kept begging her to. Kyra hates admitting that she's wrong, or the fact that she needs help; which is an action that others will probably consider as annoying.
Independence is another trait that you can't forget to mention if you are describing Kyra Sanders. She's highly independent, preferring to not rely on others. In one way, it's because she hates to admit that she needs help. In another way, it's because she's use to doing things by herself; since as a child, she could never ask her parents for help since she's probably not allowed to do it anyways.
But there is a positive to a negative, and if one spends more time with Kyra, they will find out that she is very, very loyal. Once she considers you as her friend, she will treat you like family and never, ever betray you, even if she was threatened or black-mailed.
Additionally, though she may come off as impatient and rude, Kyra does have a motherly, sweet nature in her. She treats her Pokemon as if they are queens and kings, and will do their best to satisfy their needs and wants. However, most likely only her Pokemon and perhaps, lover, will see this side of her.

the backstory
Kyra, who only existed in this world seven years after the portal opened up, was born to a loving couple that had an extremely difficult time getting pregnant. One can imagine their delight after realizing that they were finally going to have a child.
Unfortunately, this lead her parents into being quite the overprotective guardians. Kyra had a very difficult time convincing her parents to let her bathe in the sunshine or go out and play with her friends. She hated it. She understood that she was their only child and how much they loved her, but, goodness! It was way too much for her. So many rules and restrictions. Why couldn't she have cool parents, like her friends?
Oh, well - it's not like those rules and restrictions stopped her anyways. As a kid, Kyra was a rebel. The more her parents objected to it, the more likely she was going to do it. The restrictions were fairly bothersome, though, as she has to sneak out or come up with a lie each time she wanted to hang out with her friends or do something alone. Of course, most of the time she chose to sneak out as Kyra is no where near a decent liar. She use to find sneaking out entertaining, as it was like an adventure. As time went on, though, it began to grew tiring.
At least, until she found Alice. Kyra was 12 and Alice was 24, and in many ways she was the sister Kyra wanted but never had. She happened to be a Mercenary; so she would go out of the settlements a lot then come back and share her stories to young Kyra. The redhead admired the passion Alice had for her occupaton. The redhead loved the way she spoke faster and faster as she talked; the way her bright blue eyes would glow as she talked about taming Pokemon. This went on for three years, until Alice left for a mission and never came back.
Kyra was devastated. Her only role-model was gone. Alice inspired her in so many ways, and it was her that helped Kyra into finding her goals and dreams. She also showed her the simple things of life she never got to experience as much, such as dancing in the rain. And she was gone, just like that. Without saying good-bye.
Her parents quickly found out her meetings with Alice after Kyra began to turn mopey and upset over Alice's disappearance. They were furious, of course, at Kyra for sneaking out again when they clearly told her not to. They were even more furious when the redhead told them that it was her dream to become a Mercenary like Alice. Her parents wanted Kyra to stay in the settlements as a merchant, so she would stay safe. But that was never what Kyra wanted. She dreamed of adventure; she dreamed of fighting Pokemon and taming them.
When Kyra reached 18, however, things changed. She had spent the last couple of months at home, thinking of every way to persuade her parents into letting her out of the house. To let her chase her dream and accomplish her goal. It was difficult persuading them, but, finally, her parents reluctantly agreed to set Kyra free at age 18.
And that's when the adventure began.
