The Etson Brothers
Asher Gregory Etson, the cruel • pb Dante from Devil May Cry
The end of society, of the world in general, was made for people like Asher. The chaos, the indecision, the lack of laws in general is what makes men like Asher smile. When total anarchy tramples over polite, perfect society, then people like him and his brothers can easily get a foothold and lift themselves up. The strong survive and the weak get shoved to the wayside, if not trampled underneath the heels of those whom would rather fight for their lives instead of submit to a stronger entity. Asher is a man who would fight until his last breath.
He was a major cause of problems when he lived in the settlements with his brothers. He couldn't seem to stay out of trouble. Every time he turned around, there was someone else in his face, pushing him, prodding him, making him want to explode. And then when he did explode, when he fought, he was the one reprimanded, not the asshole who wanted to start the fight with him. His happiness was indescribable when Gabriel told him that they would be leaving, for good, and setting out on their own.
Asher is a master leather-worker and usually makes their gear. From shirts to trousers, to the blade grips or backpacks and saddles, he will fashion it out of whatever material they have on them at the time. When it comes to weapons, he usually works with Dominick to get those in working condition. He's adept at tracking and trapping prey, human and Pokemon alike, and considers himself more of a bounty hunter if anything. The other humans on this planet he has no regard for, his only allegiance being his brothers and the few Pokemon that have tamed as their own.

Dominik Michael Etson, the brains • pb Nero from Devil May Cry
Dom would've been an amazing researcher. His brain works like a cog, always moving, always rotating and there has yet been a problem that he couldn't solve. The boy hardly speaks, instead preferring to watch others and listen, only lifting his voice if his opinion is directly asked of him. Otherwise, he lets Gabriel and Asher make the plans, of which he is perfectly fine assisting. His loyalty to his brothers is what he holds close to his heart and he would cut off his other arm before betraying them.
Though the Etson brothers look so eerily alike, Dominik stands out from his siblings. A freak accident when he was younger left him with one arm, though unless you were to get close to him (unlikely considering the degree to which Dom loves his personal space), you would never know. The prosthetic he fashioned fits him perfectly and he wears it well, usually with a jacket or covering over most of it so it cannot be spied from afar. Often he can be caught sharpening the hand-made claws to razor-sharp points, ideal for rending flesh from bone. He is skilled in hand to hand combat, his special arm usually giving him a leg up on the competition.
He doesn't miss the village. Life outside of the village, catching pokemon and taming them, sticking up unsuspecting adventurers and the like, is difficult, but Dominik feels free here. It was...too confined in the village, too many laws, and he often felt as if he couldn't breathe there. Here, with his brothers, he is free to do as he please, research what he likes, and no one gasps in shock if they find him cutting open a pokemon to inspect internal organs and brain functioning.

Gabriel Samson Etson, the quiet • pb Vergil from Devil May Cry
Gabriel wasn't sure what he would find through the portal and on the other side. He only knew that when people started gathering, it was where he and his brothers needed to be. Recently orphaned due to a car crash that took the lives of his parents, Gabriel can fully recount holding Asher's hand and cradling a toddler-sized Dominick on his hip as the three of them shuffled in with the rest of the masses. He was scared, nervous, and queasy, but an unknown life past this portal was better than anything waiting for them in the system of the Old World.
He is a stern protector of his family and his word is law. His brothers listen and do his bidding without hesitation or forethought. He has steered them right so far, so there has been no reason to question his motives. He's an intimidating man to interact with, barely smiling and hardly laughing, the aura around him cool as a winter's breeze. He seems to always be one step ahead, thinking or planning or plotting should anything jeopardize his current way of life.
The Eldest Etson son is a skilled duelist and carries handmade bone daggers on his person at all time. He isn't above murdering to get what he wants, though he will try to take the diplomatic approach before slaughtering another human being. Their hold on his land is tenuous, this he understands, and he'd rather there be more humans than pokemon around. This isn't to say he doesn't like or appreciate pokemon, because he does, but Gabriel is very much a realist. He knows that they can do as much, if not more, damage to him and his brothers than he could ever dream of.
