Blinking, the receptionist looked up from her work suddenly, as if startled by the man's voice. It didn't help her condition as her eyes met the tall man's, seemingly at a loss for a few seconds as she took in what she was seeing-- a very tall, very handsome,
very nicely dressed man. It seemed to take her a moment to snap out of her surprise, before she quickly looked back down at her clipboard, probably to hide her blushing cheeks, and focused all of her will on finding the man's name on her list. "K--Kazuhiro Izanagi." She repeated as she found the name, marking something down. Still, she refused to look back up. "Um, yes.. Mr. R is--"
"Right here." Mr. R finished with an amused chuckle. Unbeknownst to the poor receptionist, he'd been standing there for a good minute or so, just letting her struggle. Mr. R was also a rather tall man, with a strong posture that only added to it. He were a navy business suit similar to Kazuhiro's, the outfit completed with an earpiece that most likely went with his X-Gear. Putting on a more business-like smile, he held out a hand to shake. "I'll take it from here. I am Mr. R. Of course, you can simply call me R." He spoke. Once introductions were out of the way, he led Kazuhiro to his office.
Upon arriving in the office, Kazuhiro would see a rather small room. In the middle sat a simple desk and office chair, while the walls were lined with shelves filled with all sorts of treasures and whatnots. The back wall consisted of a colored glass window showing a large red 'R'. On the desk were five Pokeballs, each one with a picture of the Pokemon inside.
"Here are your starter choices." Mr. R started as he approached the desk, walking around it to sit in his chair. "As you can see, there's not enough space in here to to release them, small though they might be, but I will explain each one to help you choose. As a Merchant, you can only choose one." He explained with a polite smile. "Each one was carefully chosen with you and your profession in mind, to be as much use as possible." He continued, then gesturing the the first Pokeball.
"This is a Sewaddle. For a designer such as yourself, a Sewaddle and it's evolution line has endless potential. In fact, these are known as the 'Sewing Pokemon.' They're nature's little fashionistas, making outfits out of leaves and whatever else they can find. They have a natural talent for it that would no doubt work well with what you do." R explained, lightly tapping the ball before moving on to the next one.
"Next is Buneary. " He continued. "Buneary are a very friendly and rather adorable Pokemon, but not one to be trifled with. Buneary can release very powerful attacks with their ears when they feel threatened. On the subject of your shop, I think Buneary and its evolution could make lovely models to show off your work and bring in some customers." He finished with a nod.
"This one is a Cinccino. This is a very chipper and friendly Pokemon with an obsession for cleaning. I can assure you, your shop would forever be without dust. A threatened Cinccino is also quite the force to be reckoned with, as they have quite powerful tails and are known to use them to smack other Pokemon around." R spoke, chuckling at the imagery. It was really quite the sight. "They and their evolution are also quite appearance oriented and love to look their best."
"Moving on, this one is a Gothita. Gothita are also rather appearance oriented Pokemon with a clear cut eye for detail. Really, nothing can escape a Gothita's watch. They will stare you down until they know everything about you. Including things you don't know, yourself. It's a little eerie, but once you can get passed their fixation for staring at everything, they're quite lovely partners. I'm sure this one would love to help you in your shop."
"Last is an Inkay. Wild Inkay are not willing fighters, so more often than not, they will flash the lights on their head to disorient or daze enemies and run away. This technique could be useful if you ever find yourself in a dangerous situation. The enemy will be unable to look away, and lose their will to fight. I believe this could also be useful in catching Pokemon."
"That's it, then. Go ahead and make your choice. You can also pick one of the original starter Pokemon, if you would rather."
