Bianca noticed the look she got at the word 'mercenary,' and had to resist the urge to smirk. She was well aware of the negative connotations that word could have, but that was her title amongst the New World Pioneers, and she was going to wear it like a badge of pride regardless. It was her new beginning, her fresh start. Besides, while there was certainly money in it, the reward was proportional to the risk in her mind. Feral pokemon were dangerous, and the process of taming and training them after capture took time and effort.
Celia's answer to her next question was as brief as ever. A budew. Nothing fancy? Her eyebrows raised slightly at those words. Bianca was left half-waiting to see if there would be any elaboration on that statement, and half-putting together a reply of disagreement. Once they evolved into roselia, they could be absolutely beautiful pokemon, especially if they were well taken care of.
The returned question made Bianca blink, and she glanced down at Bela and rubbed the back of her neck, now both very aware of the awkward silence that had been occurring and giving herself a slight, quiet chastising for making the assumption that the majority of people could recognize various pokemon species on sight. "Well, Bela here's a sneasel," she started, then wondered if Celia would be content with just the species names. Probably, but Bianca decided to elaborate anyway, "They're a pretty impressive species. Dark and ice types, clever, good at hitting an opponent hard and fast with their claws."
Bela, at the word 'claws,' decided to be helpful and carefully held up a paw. She slowly let out the long, hooked claws from it, intentionally holding her paw so that the sharp edge and hooked tips were pointed toward herself and not the young woman; she may not have liked Celia much, but she certainly didn't want to scare her. Bianca, just to hammer the point home that she wasn't dangerous, lightly tapped the exposed the claws with her finger tip on the blunter part. "Tree-climbers, too," she added, cheerily. Bela retracted her claws and then made a contented sound, eyes half-closing, as Bianca gently scratched her ear.
Rosa give a small twitter, and Bianca's free hand went up to her shoulder to pat the little bird on her head. "And Rosa's a spritzee. Pure fairy typed, and were a bit of a status symbol back in the old world, if I remember right. They can give off sweet fragrances at will. Also pretty good at distraction and disorientation attacks, which is why I think, with a little training, her and Bela will make a good team."
Bianca leaned back again a little bit, smiling. "So, with a pokemon like budew, I'd guess you work with plants? Grass types are supposed to make excellent assistants for that sort of thing." Not that Bianca really knew. She did not have a green thumb, though that wasn't to say that she thought she'd be hopeless if she gave it a shot. She did respect people who had a talent and passion for it, though, and she hoped that showed through in her tone. Between being skilled in beating things up--and training pokemon to beat things up--and being skilled in growing things people needed, she knew which one was more difficult and more valuable to society, even if her own strength was certainly still of value.
