Backstory:
Mentor: The Ambassador
Appearance:
Rein is a young man that, for his age and gender, can be considered slightly short (or at least, not tall), as he stands at 5'6'' only. His body build is mostly slim - although he has well defined muscles, thanks to the constant training - and weighs about 126 lbs, what actually helps him out in situations in which agility is needed. His hair's short and a little messy, jet black colored, and he usually cuts it in a way that it doesn't gets in his way - letting it get too long can be very troublesome in the midst of a battle, for example. Rein's skin is white, but not pale, while his eyes have the same colour of his hair, and are fierce, sharp.
Everyday Clothes:
As Rein is someone that follows the thought that "You always have to be prepared.", his usual clothing is, most of the time, the same uniform he would use at any exploration: a light brown jacket with the symbol of the Falkenhart family on both shoulders, on the front left pocket and on the center of the back, a light-colored shirt, a dark brown sash around the waist covering the hips, white pants, and dark brown knee-high leather boots, all that alongside a green short cape. After all, you never know when an "expedition" will happen, so being ready for it is simply a precaution. But, if he happens to have some free time - and no obbligations with missions - he will probably wear something more casual.
Formal Garbs:

Personality:
Rein is a serious person, in many ways. Perhaps, the most important aspect of his personality is his almost militarist discipline and his tenacity when it comes to dealing with his jobs or obligations. He's very smart as well, and can deal with many situations by "using his head". Most of the time, he is calm, quiet and doesn't tend to express his feelings too much, preferring to keep a neutral expression on almost every situation. Of course, coming across something that goes against his principles is very likely to make him angry, but he's not the explosive type of person, so it's very rare for him to shout or mock someone in anger; he'll probably just gaze at them with dangerous and full-of-hatred eyes. Also, although he's very good at receiving orders - and accomplishing them - but Rein's also a very good leader, that knows how to deal with disorganization and can guide his allies without trembling.
When alongside friends or people that are close to him, though, the explorer is actually a little bit more talkative and acts more relaxed. You can even get to see him smiling, if lucky. Another thing that is very important at his personality is his loyality to his friends and allies, so he's the kind of person that would put in risk himself or even the whole mission to save a comrade, without thinking twice. He is brave and fearless, but he's also prideful and doesn't know when to give up, what can actually get him in pretty dangerous situations. When we're talking about Pokémon, then, he has no real favorite type or species, but he's likes quite a bit of the Dragon and Flying type.
Likes:
- Discipline: Thanks to the militarism of his family, Rein has been learned since a child that discipline is something very important, and he values it greatly.
- Companionship: If there's something even more important than discipline for Rein, it's companionship. Strong bonds between the "soldiers" makes a strong army.
- Celebrations: When there's a proper motive for them, of course, celebrations of any kind and usually very good. And Rein enjoys them quite a bit.
- Food in General: Although it may not look like, Rein is a big fan of eating anything. Any kind of food satisfies him, so he has no hardships when eating something new.
Dislikes:
- Cowardice: If there's something that pisses Rein, it's cowards in the battlefield. For him, if you want to fight, you need to be brave, at the very, very least.
- Indiscipline: For the same motive he likes discipline, he dislikes the indiscipline. Nothing more to be said.
- Boredom: Rein's always trying to find something to do, because getting bored is really annoying for him.
- Heat: Excessive heat is stressing for Rein. He prefers cooler temperatures, as they're more refreshing.
Backstory:
To fully understand who Rein is, first, you need to understand the family in which he was born. The Falkenhart family is very...peculiar, when compared to the normal ones. For generations, they have been extremely militarist and disciplinary when educating their children, in every single aspect of their lives. This means that the family members have time for waking up, time for sleeping, daily training - both physical or mental - and are teached to be obedient and disciplined since birth. It is a very traditionalist family, and even after they came to Mi-aro, this has not changed. There, Rein Falkenhart was born, and like any other member of his family, he was throughly teached the "mores" of that house. Even so, the Falkenhart were not tyrannic, and the boy was always allowed to play with his friends and with the pokémon of his parents. Because of this, unlike many think, he didn't have a sad childhood: he was just way more disciplined, in many ways, than most children there.
When he was around eight, though, everything changed. Rein's mother was very sick, and nobody on Port City knew how to deal with the illness - perhaps, because it was something originary of that new world. When she died, his father, the head of the family, got depressed and ended up taking critical measures: frustrated, he did not allow Rein to go out and play for three whole years, and the discipline of the house became way more strict. With the time, the boy realized that that kind of life was simply...wrong. For the first time, he disobeyed his father, and, in secret, he left home to play. He had almost forgotten how fun it was to do so. After an entire day out, he came back home, prepared for the worst. His father was angry like Rein had never seen it, but courageous, he challenged the "leader's" authority: he told his father that what he wanted was freedom, and not that life of darkness and sorrow, locked inside his own room. His elder brother, hearing those words, supported him, and at last, their parent understood.
Now, at seventeen, Rein is a disciplined and strong-willed young man, that aims for but one thing: to explore this new world and to see every part of this land with his own eyes. That's would be the freedom he wished for so long, at last...
