LILITH ERIN BELLEROSE
Age: Twenty-Seven
Gender: Female
Orientation: Bisexual
Profession: Mercenary
Occupation: Guard For Hire
Mentor: The Ambassador, Anita Nguyen
Appearance: Lilith sports the body models would kill for -- tall and thin. Hip and ribs are more prominent than curves on the female's body. Standing at 5'11", she does have the appearance of someone who could be blown over if a strong wind were to blow through. Growing up in a predominantly mercenary aligned family Lilith's physical training began at a young age. What she lacks in curves and feminine charm she makes up in lean wiry muscle.
Bright green eyes peek out under long black bangs. Lilith tends to keep her long straight hair in a loose pigtail style, keeping the majority of the hair off her shoulders and out of the way. Lilith sports naturally pale skin, burning instead of tanning in the sun.
Lilith has always dressed in a rather elaborate and "unique" way. Her primary choice in clothing centers around fitted black dresses. Lilith's signature piece is her black horned headdress. If one dared to ask about it's origin Lilith would brag about how she retrieved them from her first feral pokemon kill, though the actual origins are a closely guarded secret.
Although Lilith likes act as if she doesn't care about how her outfits are viewed, she has spent a lot of time and money on her various get ups. Although not overly practical for mercenary work, she allows her reputation as a ruthless fighter to speak for her.
Everyday Clothes: Lilith's typical outfit is something she put together after learning to sew. (Minus the scythe and wings, of course) Her typical attire usually consists of a similar black clothing. Lilith usually throws on a pair of black gloves when not working, thinking that hiding her hands gives her a mysterious look.
Formal Garbs: Of course Lilith has made her own formal clothing. Although she isn't able to wear it often, she does enjoy being able to occasionally dress up... Even if it's nothing more than a walk to whatever the local watering hole is.
Pack: A large black leather travel pack is Lilith's go-to for when she's travelling between towns. Having trained extensively, Lilith is more or less able to carry it without any problem. Occasionally her choice in clothing leads to chaffing on her shoulders and back, but she'll be damned if she admits to struggling.
Personality: Lilith always took pride in being "weird." Her parents even encouraged her to be different as a youth and Lilith ran with it. As a young child, she would look at fashion magazines, finding herself fascinated with the "Gothic Lolita" style. Like most girls, Lilith was taught to sew at an early age. It didn't take long for her to begin to style her own clothing based on the old pictures brought over from her native world. It didn't take long for her to begin to base her personality on her garb -- choosing to be purposefully mysterious and aloof. A dry sense of humor and a sharp tongue only add onto the rather weird personality.
The woman carries herself with a "better than you" air and is known to rather quickly mock those she finds inferior. Competitive to a fault, Lilith finds herself turning everything into a competition. Whether the other person is aware or not, Lilith's bases almost everything she does off being better than someone. This mindset was cultivated at an early age by her parents, a trait they thought would serve her well in a harsh world where survival was something they needed to fight for on a daily basis. Lilith does not have much of a filter, saying whatever's on her mind regardless of the audience. She seems rather amused by averse reactions by those she offends.
Lilith was never a friendly person. At a young age she kept to herself and chose to train instead of spend time with her peers. Once again, her parents encouraged their daughter to keep up her solitary ways. Having traveled to the new world at the tender age of two, Lilith grew up in turmoil. She watched as neighbors died as the wilds crept into early settlements. Lilith found solace is cutting ties with friends for fear of losing them -- something she hasn't quite been able to shake into her adult years. Her pokemon are one of the few things she can rely on to not die in a stupid manor, unlike their human counter parts.
On the flip side of the coin, Lilith does actually enjoy company of others. She may not necessarily want to exchange a means of contact, but the occasional hunting party or bar crawl does keep her from going crazy. Her secret fear of losing those close to her has kept her from forming any meaningful relationships in her life, something she has convinced herself that she wants. The fear creeps up when she finds herself liking someone on more than an acquaintance's level.
Despite coming off as a rather frigid bitch, Lilith takes on a rather motherly role when it comes to her own pokemon. Despite pushing them hard and using them as tools to help keep her clients safe, Lilith does take exceptional care of them. Most of the money she earns on the various jobs she picks up goes to actually improving her pokemon's lives.

Backstory: Lilith was carried through the legendary portal at the age of two. Her very pregnant mother managed to hold up the squirming toddler as tears of relief flooded down her face. Unfortunately for the Bellerose's, they hadn't quite entered a place fit to raise a toddler and a soon-to-be baby. Lilith's father quickly took on the role of a mercenary, using his pokemon to brutally push back the ever hungry wilds of the land. In exchange for her service, his wife and children were granted a safe haven in the early stages of Port City.
As soon as Lilith could walk without tripping over her own feet, her father handed over a Growlithe and began to teach her how to work in harmony with pokemon to keep herself safe. The next few years Lilith spent the majority of her time in the small school building and out training with her father when he wasn't on missions keeping the settlement safe. As she aged, Lilith watched as her peers were picked off by the harsh lands for stupid mistakes. She withdrew from her friends, choosing to focus her energy on training her body and her pokemon. By now, her young sibling (occ note: may create later, so I'm keeping it vague for now) was able to attend school and her mother was free to pursue what she wanted. Of course, she chose to join her husband in defending the budding settlement.
The older the children grew, the longer they were left alone by their parents as they went on scouting missions. Lilith was in charge, often times prowling the outskirts of her home in the night, essentially scared of something coming in and taking her family from her. It was about now when the crippling fear of abandonment began to take a hold of the quirky girl.
By the age of thirteen, she had dropped out of school. At this point, most children began to leave school and focus on the various professions that had begun to take foot in the small town. It didn't take long for Lilith to find her way to The Ambassador, a woman she would quickly grow to admire. The woman quickly enrolled her into the early mercenary programs, an intense training program designed to train only the best. Lilith struggled, her willowy stature became a hindrance. If not for sheer willpower, Lilith would have dropped out within the first month. Her Growlithe stood ever faithful by her side, toughing out the rigorous training.
By the time she hit eighteen, Lilith's became "that weird mercenary girl in black" as opposed to the "weirdo" label she had carried for many years. Lilith continued to push herself, taking as many quests as she could from the mercenary's guild to prove her worth. She fell out of touch with her family for a few years, assuming they were safe within the walls of Port City. She focused intensely on moving up, losing herself in the thought of being the next Ambassador.
So lost, in fact, that she almost ignored the letter that had come from her sister. Lilith had thrown the simple white envelope onto a pile on her desk. When she finally got around to looking at it, her mind filled with terror. Post marked a week ago, the letter simply stated their father had gone on a mission and hadn't been heard from in a few days. At this point, Lilith had been under the assumption that her parents had retired, choosing the civilian life over the treacherous life of a mercenary.
The frenzied trip back to her parent's home was fraught with worry. Her mother met her at the door, commenting weakly that she looked good. Lilith could see by her puffy red eyes that she had been crying heavily. The young woman, now twenty-six, attempted small talk as her mother asked her about the past few years of her life. Lilith nodded along, waiting for her mother to tell her the inevitable truth.
Her mother turned, eyes cast down. "They found his body two days ago."
All Lilith could do was think about how the letter had sat on her desk for two days, waiting for her to open it. Filled with sorrow and guilt, Lilith mourned with her family. It didn't take long for her to drop out of the mercenary's guild and essentially withdraw completely from society. She spent a full year almost exclusively inside her old room, comforting her distraught mother and wallowing in self pity.
On the eve of her twenty seventh birthday, her mother, realizing she was zapping the life from her eldest daughter, handed her a letter. It was a new start, one orchestrated by the Ambassador. Lilith was to go to the Laboratory and start her life over. It took a lot of pressure from her mother and sibling to finally get her out of the house. Even more pressure to leave behind her faithful Growlithe, who Lilith finally admitted to growing old.
So there Lilith was, restarting her journey at the late age of twenty-seven and riddled with self doubt.
