Venick Ayre
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Orientation: Homosexual
Profession: Researcher
Occupation: Field Researcher
Mentor: Quercus Oak
Zodiac: Scorpio
Appearance:
Almost like a 00's Scene magazine, Venick strikes the eye with an edgy appearance. He stands around 5'8" and weighs only 135lbs, making him your average skinny boy. His skin is a pale white tone and very smooth. The build that would most closely match his is probably a runner's build, as he has longer legs and an overall very lean body. Venick has very sharp features like his chin and nose, which give him a very angular and pointy look. Very fitting to his personality.
Feathery, lavender hair falls to the nape of his neck and over his face. Although he loves this look, he's not beyond sticking a beret in those bangs to keep the hair out of his eyes, it isn't very practical to only use one eye after all. Darker locks of purple that match his eyes sprout from the origin point in his hair
Everyday Clothes:
Bright and bold. Venick loves clothing that make him stand out in a crowd. His two favorite colors, purple and green, tend to be the most prominent in his wardrobe. He always dresses nicely, which is saying a lot since he makes his own clothes. The general everyday cloth consists of a double-layered, colored, Furfa T-shirt that has a single layer for the sleeves (so basically a pirate shirt) with fitted leather pants and combat boots.
Formal Garbs:
Venick's favorite article of clothing is an embroidered, olive drab cape that he spent an entire month making. It wraps across the right side of his torso and falls in a wave down to the back of his knees. There is an embroidered lavender rose at the bottom right corner of the cape. He plans on adding onto the cape in the years to come, but decided to do it as a way to document his adventure throughout Mi-aro. He wears this cape anytime he wants to look epic. Because it is. Epic that is.
Pack:
A simple lavender messenger bag (that will probably be upgraded when his cape is done).
Personality:
Welcome to the center of the universe, please meet the incredibly vain Venick Ayre. Okay he's not that bad. Venick is quite the arrogant soul, but he feels that he's earned his big ego. Why? Because, though he was given many opportunities to become a talented person, he also works very hard to retain his skill in as many areas of his life as possible. Most people would not believe that he works hard for anything, but that's how it prefers it to be because he certainly enjoys watching the look he gets after someone wrongly underestimates him.
He has trust issues, though he just likes to think that people aren't good enough to be around him. Venick disguises all of his insecurities in such a way that adds to his better-than-thou air. Still, he doesn't mind making weak conversation, and can get very involved with a person that can communicate in a way that stimulates his brain. Although most see him as being antisocial, which is partially true, Venick is a huge, flamboyant personality and likes to show as much once he learned he can trust someone. That being said, once someone wrongs Venick, their chances of forgiveness are next to none. Like all Scorpios, Venick knows how to hold a grudge, and will hold it as long as he wants until the person proves that they deserve another chance.
Venick was emotionally hurt at a fragile age. Since then, he has had a bit of a dark side. Not so much so that he wants to go around killing people, but a part of his brain just sometimes thinks that bad intentions are fun, or will get him more attention. So, in saying that, he is a bit mischievous. This run of mischief, combined with a fiery passion and ambition, makes Venick a scary force at times. But truth be told, he really does care for people. Just kidding, he only cares for people that have proven to be beneficial to him or that he just genuinely likes. Really, for Venick to like someone, they have to be intelligent, hygienic, and skilled. Or, because he has these shallow moments, he will overlook intelligence if it's an attractive guy. Speaking of men. Venick finds an array of different things attractive. Mostly it's the obvious pretty features. Muscles, symmetry, cleanliness. He really likes masculine and taller guys, well, taller than him anyway. Being turned down is not something that the proud man accepts, and it would be easy to call him a sort of "predatory gay."

Backstory:
Having just missed the creation of the portal by a couple of years, Venick knows nothing more than the world of Mi-aro. But first, let's back up to his parents. Lana and Manton Ayre.
Of course, parents are the most important part of a child's development, but how they were influenced in their early years shows how they chose to raise their child. Lana was a beautiful ginger woman from Hoenn, and Manton was an equally handsome man of Kalosian descent. Before the world became a place of dread, Lana was a well-known coordinator, best known for her strategy of combining polar opposite Pokemon, such as Seviper and Zangoose. She was a powerfully famous young woman by the age of 17. Her motto had always been, "What makes us different, is what brings us together." Of course, she was a great influence on many of her fans. Lana was an expressive, loud, and very opinionated person. She gave many a thought of running for a governmental office, but believed she would do more good on the stage.
Manton, unlike his wife and son, was not an ambitious man. He was a man who worked to live and lived to work, but more than that, was an incredible rock and support system. This was a man who believed in dreams, but whose only dream was to make others' dreams come true. Manton was also an incredibly talented craftsman, even creating beautiful sets and props for Lana's performances. He was also very humble and modest, so this skill was unknown to most.
During the last few years of Earth, the couple struggled to make ends meet. Life was difficult but they kept pushing for something better. So when Arceus came with the portal, the couple was relieved that they would have a second chance, and Mi-aro proved to be just that. The Ayre family was very active the first couple of years as far as the colonization went. After that, a small complication formed... Lana was pregnant. Perfect timing too, because Manton's back had just about given out from all of the work he was doing, which was worrisome because the two were only in their mid-twenties. Either way, the couple was now a true family, and they loved it.
Venick was pushed into every learning situation he could be put in as soon as he was old enough to speak coherently. Thanks to his parents, he had a great deal of balance and opportunity, and was about as spoiled as a new-world child could get. The Ayres, being very aware of child psychology, were also prepared to make Venick work so that he didn't turn into 'one of those brats.' It was actually really surprising when they found that Venick did not mind working for something that he loved. He was a passionate child, about so many things. There was many a time when Lana would walk in on Venick dancing and singing with her Pokemon, and of course, Manton had a field day when his boy, who he thought was going to be a complete girl, turned out to love building. So, just as all children of Mi-aro, Venick learned the skills of his parents. Luckily for him, this made Venick a very well-rounded child.
He did go through a rough stage when he was in his early teenage years. Venick had developed a more flamboyant personality. Of course, the kids at the lab made fun of him because he sounded like a girl. This was tough for Venick, not because he didn't like who he was, but he because he just really wanted people to like him. Young Ayre refused to leave the house for a good month, but when he finally did, it was a bit of a disaster.
Venick, the specticle maker that he was, rode Lana's Seviper to the lab while wearing his olive cape (description above) and declared, "Congratulations bafoons, you've unlocked the poison that is Venick Ayre!!" Yeah, it was a bit over the top, but the kid read drama novels as a hobby, plus his mom was a performer. What did they expect? Now, this wouldn't have been so bad in itself, the real trouble came when he started making Seviper go after the other kids...
To state the obvious, Venick was grounded for a good while. Still, this was a defining moment of the boy's life. It became a goal for him to show people that he was so much more than some girly boy. He was talented and charismatic after all. When he was about 17, Venick decided that he wanted to follow in his mother's footsteps and become a performer. It came as a bit of a shock when his own mother told him that performers weren't really a necessary part of the current of the world right now. Eventually Venick decided that she was right and decided to go another route.
For now, he would become a researcher and learn more about the planet, but this was just to make his parent's happy. Not that he didn't enjoy learning new things, that was one of his favorite hobbies. And since he also very much enjoyed a good adventure, Venick decided that being a field researcher was the way to go, whatever that meant. Venick's ultimate goal though, was to leave his mark on the world. The lavender-headed boy didn't know what it was yet, but he knew he was going to do something great on Mi-aro. For better, or for worse.
