| As Gwen walked along the streets, in search of some Anorith, she wasn't too sure if she'd be all that disappointed if she didn't see another one for the rest of her life. Indeed, searching for, battling and catching Anorith were pretty much all she had been doing since she had first stepped out of the lab early in the morning. Of course it was her pleasure to help remove the threat to the city, but despite even her own strict work ethic, this task was beginning to grow tiresome.
At the moment, what space in her active team that weren't her two starters, were filled up by bugs, plus she had one more stashed in her PC. None of the bugs were tame either, and since all she was facing were Anorith from the same swarm, she hadn't even had an opportunity to so much as attempt to utilize them. So pretty much her starters had the complete run of her encounters. On the plus side, that meant they had a fair bit of experience under their belts and at this point didn't have too much problem dealing with the mostly level 1 bugs.
Gwen turned down a few alleyways, even passed through the market. Soon she was skirting along the edge of the beach were the grass met the sand. She paused momentarily to look ahead. There apparently was an Armaldo... somewhere. She had no clue where it was, and also had no intention of trying to search for it. Given that an Armaldo romping around town would probably be pretty obvious, she could hazard a guess that the giant bug was lurking somewhere closer to the coastline while the anorith were swarming the town. That in mind, she veered away and headed closer to the town center, keeping both her ears and eyes open for whatever would pop out of the various alleyways and other crevices she passed.
-----------
Gwen is searching for yet more Anorith! (but I wouldn't mind if she found something else instead... just not that Armaldo please xD)

Around a hundred feet off, a familiar shape would catch Gwen's eye- that of an Espurr sitting at the water's edge her legs stretched out front of herself and her eyes closed in some meditation of some sort as the water graced her stubs for feet. She was not causing any trouble to anyone- unlike the mass of Anorith that had been bothering the town for quite some time, but she seemed to be focusing on her own business, and it was questionable whether she would enjoy being bothered at the moment.

| The streets were relatively quiet and Gwen was beginning to believe that most of the anorith must have been captured by now. Still, it would be difficult to tell if there were any stragglers around or not, and in case there were, she would continue to comb the streets until she was certain enough they were gone. So far though, there were little more than a few still upturned garbage cans and smashed lawn ornaments laying about. No bugs to be seen.
After doubling back and ending up near the beach again, Gwen noticed a pokemon sitting out by the water. Gwen took a few tentative steps closer, soon discovering that it was an Espurr. A little psychic pokemon. Unfortunately, it was definitely not an anorith, and Gwen didn't want to spend any more time than she already had today distracted by unrelated endeavors. Leaving the Espurr in peace, Gwen continued to walk down the streets in search of what Anorith that still lurked around town.
-----------
(FYI - The beach thread took place after the anorith incident, so Gwen doesn't have anything from that particular thread yet)
~ Gwen chose to leave the Espurr alone and continue searching for Anorith!

Farther off, the tide was on the move clawing its way up the beach eventually to reach a peak sooner or later that evening only to fade away again. Among the tide pools left behind from that morning, surprise surprise, an Anorith was splashing about in the water appearing to enjoy himself and being rather oblivious to the human in the immediate vicinity. Was… was this one from the swarm? Well he certainly wasn’t attacking anything, and he was in close proximity to the sea rather than the town, so it was somewhat questionable to say the least of it. Would Gwen chuck forwards anyways?
---- Then you should really time and date your threads like most everyone else does so as to avoid confusion on time line. Also, no this Anorith is not from the swarm, I actually rolled it from the general mod way. It seems the Anorith don’t want to leave Gwen alone- or she just doesn’t want to leave them alone.

| Gwen grew more and more disappointed as the day wore on. Nothing of interest seemed to be popping up anywhere. After a while, she simply paused to kick a loose can into a near by trash can that was laying on it's side, hitting the bottom of the bin and setting off a resounding bang. Well, that was entertaining... Not really. Gwen thought boredly, before turning to gaze back at the beach again. This time she spotted something splashing about in the water. Well, it was an anorith, but that particular one seemed to be very happy on the beach. Something told her it wouldn't really be necessary to catch it seeing as it didn't seem to have an interest in the city. Deciding to leave it be, Gwen turned a corner away from the beach, and began making her way deeper into town. Hopefully she'd have more luck there, since the outskirts seemed to be quite free of hostile anorith. ----------- (Whoa there, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to offend you or anything, was just letting you know ;;; No need to be chewing my head off ) ~ Gwen chose to leave the Anorith be and is now heading deeper into town! +1 TP for Anorith (1) (In Party) (total: 3) +1 TP for Anorith (2) (In Party) (total: 3) +1 TP for Anorith (3) (In Party) (total: 3) +1 TP for Anorith (5) (In Party) (total: 3) | Words: 160 | | Tagged: Mod | |

The city was... oddly quiet. There was certainly evidence of the Anorith swarm, with scratch marks and general minor destruction--with a few areas of notable, less-minor debris, presumably from the Armaldo--but the air was still. It was...eerie, really. ...Okay, no, it felt way more eerie than it should have. Like... Like... something was watching her, but stronger? Assuming Gwen turned to look behind her, she'd find a Lunatone had started following her at some point. It was... especially small for its kind, at maybe a foot and a half tall at most, but it looked... Er, well... It didn't really have much capability for expression, but it felt ...creepy was really the only word for it. Perhaps that was its Psychic typing coming into play? Either way, it was staring at Gwen, and was right about eye-level.
Mutated Lunatone appeared!

| As Gwen continued to walk around Port City, she was beginning to feel a faint prickle in the back of her neck. You know, that feeling that someone's watching you? That's the one. Gwen was a little skeptical about the authenticity of such feelings. Sure, some psychics could sense things around them, but in the sense of ordinary people having those feelings though, she considered it little more than a combination of paranoia and occasional coincidences.
Gwen of course, did have the potential to have inherited psychic ability, given that she was a descendent of Sabrina, one of the most famed psychics of her time. Nothing of that sort ever really came to her though, and she wasn't completely interested in trying at the time being. Still, the feeling persisted, and at the risk of feeling stupidly paranoid, she wheeled around.
Turned out, she wasn't being paranoid.
What her eyes fell on, looked to be a floating crescent shaped rock with eyes. "A Lunatone." She muttered curiously, noting the unusually small size. Was it feral? Likely, considering they were known to be spotted around the city from time to time. Still, it seemed fairly calm for a feral. Then again, she wasn't completely sure of a floating rock's capacity for displaying aggression. It's stare seemed to say something, but Gwen wasn't sure why it was so curious about her.
It was most definitely a psychic type though, and a stare like that could mean it was preparing an attack. Deciding it was not a good idea to interact with the Lunatone alone, she reached for her bag, and plucked Sakura's poke ball off her bag and released the Mawile, who stood, neutral to the rock pokemon, but awaiting whatever command her trainer would give her.
"Why, hello there." Gwen said in a cheery tone that hopefully would come off as friendly to the Lunatone. She could only guess though what would happen next. Would it be friendly back, or would it be threatened by the sudden appearance of her Mawile? Battle experience was good and all, but Gwen already had a pretty huge collection of pokemon that weren't exactly happy with her.

[hey there! sorry I got swamped for a few days. :B;;;] The Lunatone squinted at the newly materialized Pokemon. A sheen covered its body as it... did something? Its eyes went from the Mawile, back to Gwen, and to the Mawile as the shimmery coat wore off, leaving a residue of new rock over the Lunatone's surface. It still emanated a sense of unease, but at least it wasn't...completely hostile?

| Gwen watched as the Lunatone suddenly glowed a bit. Having seen the various anorith she had encountered use it, she recognized the move as harden. Not necessarily a hostile move, but it was on it's guard. An awkward silence followed, as Gwen didn't seem to know what to do from here. She had nothing to offer it, and ideas on how to befriend a wary pokemon who couldn't understand her, were not coming too quickly.
Sakura looked curiously at the Lunatone. You are definitely a rock. She thought as she observed the pokemon. That meant it wouldn't take too well to her iron head attack. Still though, Gwen had yet to give an order to attack, or do anything for that matter. "Maw-Mawile?" She asked, turning her gaze to her trainer.
Gwen knew Sakura preferred to solve her problems through battle, and that the mawile was likely growing impatient with just standing there staring down the Lunatone. Still, Gwen didn't really want to attack it either, not if she could win it over bloodlessly. Maybe... Gwen thought as something came to her. "Maybe a sweet scent? Try not to be aggressive about it." She told her Mawile.
Sakura blinked. Don't be aggressive? Sakura thought for a moment about how she was supposed to blow sweet scent dust from her rather intimidating jaw, without looking aggressive. Finally she nodded, and giving the Lunatone a friendly smile, she begun spinning around in a cute little piroette, as sparkling pink dust spewed from her iron maw, enveloping the Mawile in a delightful aroma. The dust didn't quite go /at/ the Lunatone, but the smell of it was probably strong enough for it to detect.
Gwen took a step backward out of the range of the sweet scent. She then looked around, realizing that such a move might not have just made Lunatone react, but also that the move might end up attracting even more feral pokemon. Oops?

The Lunatone's squint faded and its eyes dulled as it inhaled the perfume now pervading the area, and... Relaxed? At least, it tilted backwards and drooped lower to the ground, now. It also seemed to let up on whatever psychic thing it was doing, as the air seemed a lot more pleasant, though perhaps that was just the appropriately named Sweet Scent. Then it blinked and rocked forward again, focusing on the Mawile, and a voice that only she could hear chanted at her. You... are getting... SLEEEEeeepy......It wasn't a very creative Lunatone.
