New Pokemon and Mutation Ideas:
Since we appear to be allowed to suggest new Pokemon and mutations, here's a thread for whatever contributions I may come up with. Here's hoping they're not all useless. If anyone else wants to post here, that's fine - so long as it's on topic, of course.
New Pokemon: Name: Eidoleon/Appariteon: Designation: Either Eidoleon, the Apparition Pokemon or Appariteon, the Eidolon Pokemon. Type: Ghost Family?: Eeveelution Any name explanation?: An eidolon is an "image, idol, double, apparition, phantom, ghost" Description: This ghoulish creature is a partially-translucent midnight blue, with a wreath of stormcloud-grey mist around its neck where the fluffy tufts of the Eevee once rested. Its eyes, round and wide as though with surprise, glow an eerie and vivid green – the most prominent part of this Pokemon's appearance. The ears and tail of this creature start out looking almost normal at the base, but become elongated and misty, until they appear to billow and drift with the wind rather than behave like normal appendages. Where this Pokemon's paws touch the ground, it leaves tiny flickering blue lights that often confuse travellers. Unnervingly swift and nearly silent when stalking, it can be difficult to know when this Pokemon is on your trail. When at rest, this Pokemon's baleful song can sometimes be heard as the night winds carry its howling. It is sometimes drawn to spiritually significant locations, such as graveyards, shrines and places in which there has been recent death. Once there, it may stand in vigil for an undefined period of time. This Pokemon is born of the grim determination of an Eevee defying death itself to continue fighting – usually to either protect those dear to it, or revenge itself on those who wronged it. It is unclear whether this Pokemon actually died or not, as the evolution has never taken place in controlled and measurable conditions, but it appears to require a strong will, and some form of unfinished business.
Mutation: Base Pokemon: Meowth Tier: I to II Description: These Pokemon are incredibly furry, perhaps living in colder parts of Mi-aro, and it is sometimes hard for the claws of other Pokemon to get through their fur. The extra fur also gives them a place to hide small things they may have stolen. However, their excess of fluff renders them slower, and more vulnerable to heat than their normal counterparts.
Mutation: Base Pokemon: Purrloin Tier: I to II Description: These Pokemon appear at first glance to have no hair – in fact, their skin is covered in a fine layer of down. The patterns that are usually reflected by a Purrloin's coat are visible as patterns of dark and light skin, and this skin may appear a little wrinkled. As a lack of a coat leads to increased heat loss, these Pokemon thrive best in hotter environments. The lack of fur may make these Pokemon swifter than their normal counterparts, but it also robs them of part of their defence.

New Pokemon: Name: Solaneon*/Atropeon**/Attoreon*** Designation: The Noxious Fox Pokemon Type: Poison Family?: Eeveelution Any name explanation?: *From Solanine, a poison found in the nightshade family. **From Atropine, another toxin from the nightshade family (though this one has medical uses). ***From Attor, an old English word meaning "gall; poison; venom" Description: This rather toxic vulpine was bleached mostly white by evolution, and its sclera**** were stained black. Nestled within these rather ominous-looking eyes, the irises are typically red in hue - though the precise shade may vary. Their fur is generally short and smooth, though longer tufts are present around the neck and paws, and on the tail and ears. These longer tufts gradually deepen in hue, reaching shades of a dusky purple near the ends - this is because these particular tufts contain poison, though it is unclear whether the delivery method is more like a nettle or a jellyfish. If agitated, this Pokemon's fur will bristle, and some toxic hairs - presumably rigid - may be expelled as a defensive mechanism. The teeth and claws of this creature have also been noted to bear toxin, though whether this is contained within or coated on them from grooming the toxic parts of their pelt has yet to be established. This grooming takes place frequently, as this Pokemon is apparently somewhat fastidious, and hates to get dirt clogged in its pelt. It is given a perpetually downcast or wistful demeanour by the slant of its eyes, and the droopiness of its tail and ears - which, though possessing long fur, are somewhat less fluffy to look at than many Eevee derivatives. To evolve into this Pokemon, an Eevee must consume a particular Mi-aran plant with high toxicity. It must then either adapt or succumb to the poison. In the wild, it is unlikely to travel far from the plants it evolved with, as they quickly become a favourite food of the evolved creature. ****Sclera are the 'whites' of the eyes.
Mutation: Base Pokemon: Persian Tier: II to III Description: These Pokemon, like their prevolution, are incredibly furry, however there is more to it than that. The surface level of their fur is somewhat hardened in places - which may vary between individuals in location and extent - providing higher defence. They can also be somewhat larger than their normal counterparts, as well as slower and more vulnerable to heat.
Mutation: Base Pokemon: Liepard Tier: II to III Description: Like their prevolution, these Pokemon are covered in a fine layer of down, and the patterns usually reflected by a Liepard's coat are visible as patterns of light and dark skin, which may appear wrinkled. However, these Pokemon tend to be leaner than their normal counterparts, and have larger ears. They are also noticeably faster than regular Liepard, though they have lower defence.

New Pokemon: Name: Alpacria, or Pacria Designation: The Little Spitter Pokemon Type: Grass Family?: I guess New Camelid Pokemon? It's starting its own, really. Any name explanation?: Alpaca and cria - cria being a baby llama. Description: These fuzzy little long-necked creatures stand about as high as a Deerling (and a quarter), and look a little bit like gangly baby camels with no humps. Most of their body is covered in a thin layer of extremely fine wool (a diameter of 12 μm) whose warmth-giving properties stem from tiny scales on the fibres, which are hollow and filled with air. These scales allow the fibres to interlock and trap air for insulation. Because of this factor, these Pokemon can withstand freezing temperatures - however, the majority of the body can only be shorn every three years. Things are a little easier around the head, feet and tail, as the wool around these areas grows out in puffball fashion, and can be shorn more regularly. In these areas, the wool can appear to be clumped in leaf-like configurations. The Pokemon may need to be convinced diplomatically of this, however, as they are prone to spitting, kicking and neck-wrestling. This spitting involves the projectile regurgitation of some of the contents of this Pokemon's multiple stomachs, and should be avoided if possible. In the wild, these creatures are shy of any intruders, and their excellent hearing often warns them in time to allow them to flee up surfaces that others might find difficult to traverse. Since they primarily inhabit mountainous locations, this effect can be quite pronounced. They have been known to lick salt-rich rocks, and occasionally drink salty water without harm. Their coats tend to be pale in hue, but their precise colour varies - one community may be shades of pastel green, another may be a dustier pistachio colour, while yet another could be closer to olive or lime. What is most consistent is the attitude of this pompom-headed Pokemon - if they can't run away, they'll kick up a fuss like nobody's business. What's more, since they're herd creatures, there's likely to be spitting coming from multiple directions.
New Pokemon: Name: Llamoogie/Llamugie Designation: The Expectoration Pokemon Type: Grass/Poison Family?: See previous new Pokemon Any name explanation?: Derived from 'Llama' and 'loogie' or 'lugie', which is a word meaning an expectorated glob of flegm. Description: These Pokemon, like their prevolution, have very soft and fine wool, which is lanolin-free. However, unlike the younger variant, they are absolutely covered in the stuff. Whether this abundance of wool lies flat or is puffed up and shaggy can depend, much as does colouration, on what community they are found in. Unlike their younger counterparts, these creatures may be shorn once each spring. This pelt also tends to be darker and/or richer in hue than before evolution. In order to survive at increasingly high altitudes, this Pokemon has about four times as many red blood cells as a human. They can grow to be as much as six feet, or one point eight meters tall from head to foot, and tend to live in predominantly-female herds with a territorial male - this male may not always be taller, but is typically thicker-set. The attitude of this Pokemon has only grown since it evolved, and so has the noxious nature of their expectoration. Anyone wishing to capture one must brave projectile spewings of partially-digested grass, stomach acid, and a toxin added in - presumably stemming from this Pokemon's habit of eating poisonous flowers as well as grass. If these Pokemon are content, they may produce a humming sound, and if one wishes to signal friendliness or submission, it may cluck. Fear, however, results in shrill, high-pitch shrieking. It is also easy to tell when one of these creatures is excited, as they will make amusing 'wark' noises. If and when their trust is gained, they may show a gentle and inquisitive side, but this has yet to be confirmed.

New Pokemon: Name: Pavotot/Pavoling Designation: The Proud Chick Pokemon Type: Flying or Flying/Ground Family?: Own family Any name explanation?: Pavo is from the genus name of peafowl, tot is a word for a small child, and 'ling is short for both hatchling and nestling. Description: These little Pokemon range in size from small enough to hold in one hand to Pidgey or Piplup size, but you wouldn't think it from their attitude. These little mottled brown, green and blue birds may not yet have much flamboyance in their plumage, but they have enough self-esteem that you'd think they were clad in an Emperor's finest robes. Still dependant on their mothers for most things, these chicks don't often venture far from the nest, but they are capable of short bursts of flight if necessary. Their plumage is patterned and shaded for best camouflage among dense plant cover, and their eyes are disguised somewhat by similarly-dark feathers around that part of their faces. Atop their heads, there is a little curled feather that hints at a crest to come.
New Pokemon: Name: Pokokrest Designation: The Proud Crest Pokemon Type: Flying or Flying/Dragon Family?: See previous new Pokemon. Any name explanation?: Pokok is an old English pronunciation of peacock, and they are crested birds. Description: These Pokemon are no longer chicks, and are around the size of a Tranquill. Every bit as proud as they were when they were chicks, these avians have reason to hold their heads up high. Although their colours are still dim enough to provide camouflage, they have become more vibrant than they were, and crests of spindly and iridescent display feathers have formed on the tops of their heads. Some of the feathers on their heads and necks resemble scales a little in shape and colour, but are not iridescent. These Pokemon are territorial, and prone to posturing - they are also typically forest-dwellers, nesting on the ground, but roosting in trees. Their song varies from chirrups and chirps to catlike mewing.
New Pokemon: Name: Tausillat/Taucellat Designation: The Proud Tail Pokemon Type: Flying/Dragon Family?: See previous new Pokemon Any name explanation?: Tausi is a Swahili word for peacock, and ocellated feathers are those with eyelike markings. Description: Only male Pokokrest can evolve into this Pokemon, whose magnificent Swanna-like size is exaggerated by their immense tail coverts. It spreads these long, iridescent eye-marked feathers in courtship and territorial displays, indicating health and power to rivals and potential mates. It is sometimes able to intimidate, transfix and/or dazzle opponents with its display. If anything, it has a greater pride than ever before, but it has reason. It is covered in rich blues and greens, and its head-crest has only grown more impressive. The small green and blue feathers on its head, neck and breast are iridescent, and closely resemble scales. Some of the other feathers also resemble scales, and may be iridescent, and all are vibrant. It isn't all boast, either, as this Pokemon has a dangerous kick, and a piercing beak. Woe to those who threaten this creature unprepared - particularly as they are most usually found guarding a flock of Pokokrest and Pavotot/Pavoling. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Updated versions:
New Pokemon: Name: Pavotot/Pokotot/Tausitot Designation: The Proud Chick Pokemon Type: Flying, Flying/Ground or Flying/Dragon Family?: Own family Any name explanation?: Pavo is from the genus name of peafowl, tot is a word for a small child, and Poko is short for Pokok, an old word for peacock. Similarly, Tausi is a Swahili word for peacock. Description: These little brown-eyed Pokemon range in size from small enough to hold in one hand to Pidgey or Piplup size, but you wouldn't think it from their attitude. Their slightly puffy plumage is patterned and shaded for best camouflage among dense plant cover, and their eyes are disguised somewhat by similarly-dark feathers around that part of their faces. Atop their heads, there is a little curled feather that hints at a crest to come. Unusually for birds, however, these curious little creatures are quadrupedal, possessing a slimmer set of smaller-taloned legs at the front of its body.
New Pokemon: Name: Pokokrest/Pavokrest/Tausikrest Designation: The Proud Crest Pokemon Type: Flying or Flying/Dragon Family?: See previous new Pokemon. Any name explanation?: Pokok is an old English pronunciation of peacock, and they are crested birds. Description: These Pokemon are no longer chicks, possess longer necks than before, and are around the size of a Tranquill. Every bit as proud as they were when they were chicks, these avians have reason to hold their heads up high. Although their colours are still dim enough to provide camouflage, they have become more vibrant than they were, and crests of spindly and iridescent display feathers have formed on the tops of their heads. Their body shape is less round and puffy than before their evolution, sloping gently downwards a little way, and their plumage is sleeker. Their eyes have also become a little more prominent, the brown becoming tinged with orange, and the pupils beginning to take on a vertical almond shape. Some of the feathers on their heads and necks resemble scales a little in shape and colour, but are not iridescent, and they have a little orange wattling under their beaks, akin to a little goatee. However, it is a sensible kind of orange, not a particularly bright one. They have begun to develop interesting tails - the base is a stubby true tail not unlike that of a Psyduck, Cubone or Sandshrew, though perhaps even stubbier. Covering this tail are long feathers which stand up and arch backwards, resembling a rooster's tail. Their hue is darker than the rest of the plumage, and have a slight iridescent sheen. In general, the tail feathers of the females are shorter than those of the males. These Pokemon are territorial, and prone to posturing - they are also typically forest-dwellers, nesting on the ground, but roosting in trees. Their song varies from chirrups and chirps to catlike mewing.
New Pokemon: Name: Tausillat/Taucellat/Pavocellat/Pokocellat Designation: The Proud Tail Pokemon, The Cockatrice Pokemon, The Peacockatrice Pokemon, or The Proud Cockatrice Pokemon Type: Flying/Dragon Family?: See previous new Pokemon Any name explanation?: Tausi is a Swahili word for peacock, and ocellated feathers are those with eyelike markings. Description: Only male Pokokrest can evolve into this Pokemon, whose magnificent Swanna-like size and elegant quadrupedal form is exaggerated by their immense tail display. Also like Swanna, they possess long and elegant necks. Since evolution, its formerly-stubby tail has elongated into a form more akin to that of a Magmar or Charizard - though not quite so large as a Charizard's, nor flame-tipped like either. This tail is very flexible, and the feathers adorning it have developed considerably. Along the top, scale-like iridescent green-to-blue feathers of similar hue to the main body extend, while the feathers along the sides resemble smaller versions of the darkly iridescent tail feathers of its previous form. These feathers gradiate along the length of the tail into longer and more ornate display feathers. At rest, the tailfeathers lie flat and close to the main tail, presenting a train slightly comparable to that of a particularly fancy dress. It raises its tail into the air and spreads these long, iridescent eye-marked feathers in courtship and territorial displays, waving and undulating it to indicate health and power to rivals and potential mates. It is sometimes able to intimidate, transfix and/or dazzle opponents with its display. A creature transfixed in this way may find themselves stunned and unable to act - as though petrified. If anything, this Pokemon has a greater pride than ever before, but it has reason. It is covered in rich blues and greens, and its head-crest has only grown more impressive. The small green and blue feathers on its head, neck and breast are iridescent, and closely resemble scales. Some of the other feathers also resemble scales, and may be iridescent, and all are vibrant. The wattling beneath its beak has become longer and more orange, and its piercing orange eyes no longer look at all brown. They also contain rather ominous-looking vertical slit pupils. It isn't all boast, either, as this Pokemon has dangerous talons, and a piercing beak. Woe to those who threaten this creature unprepared - particularly as they are most usually found guarding a flock of others that have not reached this final evolutionary form.

This one's for you, Kronos~
New Pokemon: Name: Malloraye/Malvolaye/Trayaye/Tavoraye/Brogaye/Thanaye/Ocumal/Malochi/Malojo/Nazamure Designation: The Ominous Lemur* Pokemon Type: Ghost/Dark Family?: Not known. Any name explanation?: Mallory (unfortunate) and Aye-Aye, Malvolio/Malvolia (ill-will) and Aye-Aye, Tray (grief and misfortune) and Aye-Aye, Tavor (misfortune, unlucky) and Aye-Aye, Broga (danger, dread, terror) and Aye-Aye, Than (short for Thanatos) and Aye-Aye, oculus malus (evil eye), mal occhio (evil eye), mal ojo (evil eye), nazar (evil eye) and lemures (specters) Description: This eerie creature is only about the size of a Skitty, or perhaps a human baby, not including the long bushy tail, and has a particularly unnerving visage. Its reflective amber eyes are huge and bulging, and shine like golden coins when light hits them, its front teeth are long and rodent-like, and it has large bat-like ears. Its expression lends the thought that it is perpetually staring into the middle distance, or perhaps at something that nobody else can see. It is entirely possible that this creature may be capable of echolocation, but this has yet to be confirmed. They sometimes become fascinated by travelling strangers, and may stealthily follow them, staring blankly but intently.
Their paws bear long, spindly fingers and toes that seem to evoke bones, but none more so than the thin third finger and incredibly flexible fourth finger each front paw bears. These strange, claw-tipped digits are used for locating (in the case of the third finger) and extracting (in the case of the fourth finger) its insectile and grubby prey from within wood - its teeth are also used in this endeavour. It appears to be covered in shaggy, bristly black fur that never appears properly groomed, and each hair is tipped with a pale, greyish purple that behaves more like mist than hair - this mistiness can be extended to form a concealing cloud in moments of distress, much like a squid may squirt ink to obscure its position. Its tail, mentioned earlier, is longer than its head and body put together.
On its face, the fur becomes much shorter, and is mostly pale and dusty purple - its sensitive nose is quite visible and frequently snuffling. Most of the time, these solitary Pokemon prefer to keep to the trees, in spherical leafy nests, and they rarely if ever touch the ground. The tapping or pointing of its long and eerie third finger has been associated with ill-fortuned events, and it is said that this creature is able to see some of the world of spirits. If it stares into someone's eyes for long enough, they may become transfixed. It has been postulated that these creatures have an aura of bad luck, but this has never been tested. It is also associated with death, and some of those who have seen it believe that it can perceive - and perhaps even influence - when someone will meet their end.
Suggestions for better names welcome for this one. *It is interesting to note that the word lemur comes from lemures, meaning specters.

New Pokemon: Name: Scribis/Djehibis Designation: The Watchful Scribe Pokemon Type: Flying/Psychic, or Flying/Water Family?: None known. Any name explanation?: Scribe and Ibis, Djehuty (Ancient Egyptian Ibis-headed god of wisdom) and Ibis. Description: This long-necked avian boasts a long and thin curved beak, webbed toes at the end of its gangly legs, and strong wings. It usually lives near rivers or marshland, and has been known to sketch in mud - whether by drawing in the mud itself with its beak, or using mud as ink on drier surfaces with its beak. It is able to leave messages for its fellows in this manner, and is a relatively intelligent bird Pokemon. It is a natural enemy of snake Pokemon, and stands at around the height of a Tranquill, perhaps a little taller. Its beak and legs are a glossy black, while the head, neck and tail are a deep midnight blue, while its deep brown eyes are outlined in goldish iridescent feathers that extend in a line a little way beyond the corners of the eyes - there is an additional line curving lazily underneath each eye, stemming from the beakmost corner and ending in a near-tight curl. The main body of this bird is a shimmery pale blue, very nearly white, which darkens to deep blue at the tips of the outermost wing feathers. They are a highly vigilant Pokemon, and are sometimes able to predict the actions of an opponent based on what said opponent has already done. Haughty and aloof, these Pokemon take a while to warm up to anyone, human or Pokemon, unless the other beings are very young. In such cases, this Pokemon may attempt to teach them, or at least tolerate them for a time. These creatures are usually nocturnal, and are most often seen when the moon is out. They are also notably unafraid of high winds, and are among the last creatures to hide when a storm is coming.
New Pokemon: Name: Sutiphon Designation: The Desert Storm Pokemon Type: Ground/Fire Family?: None known Any name explanation?: Suti (Alternate name of Set, Ancient Egyptian god of desert storms, strength and aggression) and typhonic (storm-related) Description: This large, vaguely canid-seeming Pokemon is halfway between Ponyta and Rapidash in height, and prowl desert areas. Their thin, wiry pelt is a dark, dusty red, deepening to black around its paws and muzzle, and their long and thin tails fork at the end. These tails are highly mobile, and may move around without any apparent reason. A broad streak of dark pigmentation deepening to black adorns the sides of these odd long-legged Pokemon, starting on the vaguely-pronounced neck, and their dark yellow eyes are ringed with black that extends out each corner - particularly towards the ears. These ears are another oddity, in that they appear to be conical - the thinnest point joining the head - curve inward, and are flat at the top. These ears are also able to rotate quite considerably. Presumably, this makes them able to hear better than Pokemon with less pronounced ears. Their long muzzles are thin and reminiscent of both greyhounds and anteaters, curving gently downwards - concealing sharp teeth within. Their bodies are lean for their size, full of whipcord muscle along the lines of a beefier greyhound, and they are both fast and strong. Their defences, however, are not as pronounced. This Pokemon thrives in dry heat, and has a similarly hot temper, being quick to anger - and may not have the best of judgement in this state. Its drool is hot enough to scald the unwary, and it has been associated with violent sandstorms. Thankfully, it usually travels alone.

New Pokemon: Name: Ishcolpa Designation: The Deceiving Horse Pokemon Type: Ghost/Water or Water/Ghost Family?: Possibly descended from mutated Ponyta. Any name explanation?: The Gaelic word uisce, meaning water, is pronounced 'ishka' - combining this with the Gaelic word for a horse or cow, colpa, results in Ishcolpa. Description: The Ishcolpa is a Pokemon native to rivers and lakes, though it is unknown whether it can tolerate salt water. This horse-like creature in its natural shape appears withered, corpselike and wet, with many sharp teeth protruding from its mouth. Its ears are half fin, there are gills present along the neck, and it possesses feet that seem partway between fins and some other kind of foot. Because of this, it is not comfortable for Ishcolpa to venture too far from the waters they lurk in, and they are unable to run very fast. In water, however, they are unnervingly quick, and seem able to pass straight through obstacles at will. Their scraggly manes and tails are always very dark and clogged with water weeds, and continually drip, while their strongly adhesive coats are mottled dark shades of blue, green, brown and black. Their eyes, unlike a normal equine, face slightly forwards - as opposed to being set on either side of the head for a panoramic prey-animal view. As a result, this creature is better able to focus in on its unwary victims.
This wily creature is a natural illusionist, and is prone to adopting the guise of a friendlier, less predatory equine when in the presence of prey creatures. The most powerful Ishcolpa are capable of taking on guises that are not equine, but this is both more difficult and more prone to error. Additionally, these guises are not true transformations, and have no physical effect on the Ishcolpa performing them. Although the guises adopted by this creature are clever, there is usually at least one flaw. For one thing, whatever an Ishcolpa does, it cannot disguise the river or lake weeds in its hair - perhaps because it is too used to them, perhaps because they are not part of it. For another, an Ishcolpa is never dry, and is therefore prone to dripping. The usual method of predation for this Pokemon is to either snap up any small creature that ventures close enough to the water's edge, or is already in the water, or to disguise itself as described previously. Once disguised, the Ishcolpa will wander closer to whatever it happens to be targeting. Seeing as most Pokemon may not feel threatened by a lone equine, and may in fact wish to hitch a lift, all the Ishcolpa has to do is wait for its victim to touch it or attempt to climb on. A solid, constant touch is enough for the prey to become stuck fast, though the more of the victim touching the coat, the better. Once a victim has become stuck, the Ishcolpa will carry them underwater to consume them. Since humans are so used to the idea of riding on equines, they are an ideal source of food for a hungry Ishcolpa.

New Pokemon: Name: Leprong Designation: The Jackalope Pokemon Type: Fairy, or possibly Fairy/Fighting Family?: This Pokemon is the male counterpart to Tetralep/Leptrao Any name explanation?: The genus name of hares and jackrabbits (Lepus) combined with 'prong', for pronghorns Description: These mischievous little grass-green creatures are swift, speckled with a deeper green that matches their eyes, territorial, and generally solitary. They possess light brown horns, which they seem particularly fond of exercising upon the unwary. Being both hot-headed and prone to puckish humour, these Pokemon like to sneak up on those who have intruded in their territory and aim their antlers at the hapless intruders' rear ends. If this offense to a trespasser's dignity is not sufficient, the Leprong will escalate its behaviour accordingly. If one wishes to traverse territory owned by a Leprong without offending it, a small offering of food usually suffices for a day - but overstaying one's welcome is not advised. When not displaying territorial behaviour, this Pokemon is quite playful, and will leap improbably high in attempts to scratch ever higher on trees and record its personal best. It is possible that this behaviour might play a role in courtship. It is also not uncommon to see a Leprong at play performing the occasional back-flip or somersault. This Pokemon is approximately the size of a Pikachu.
New Pokemon: Name: Tetralep/Leptrao Designation: The Rabbit Grouse Pokemon, or The Skvader Pokemon Type: Fairy/Flying Family?: This Pokemon is the female counterpart to Leprong. Any name explanation?: Lepus combined with Tetrao, which is a genus name of grouse. Description: These Pokemon, unlike their male counterparts, travel in flocks, and do not keep to any one territory full-time. They are nomadic creatures, travelling where the wind takes them - so long as there is food, they'll likely stay a little while. Occasionally, they can be persuaded to land in a specific area by the energetic jumping and acrobatic displays of a Leprong, but they are somewhat whimsical creatures and may simply choose to ignore or snigger at the increasingly frantic performance of the excitable Leprong. These creatures are also very easy to spook, and will take to the skies at a moment's notice if something startles them - in general, the best way to capture their attention without frightening them away is through slapstick. Just as mischievous as Leprong, these creatures delight in sniggering at the misfortunes of others, and may begin to congregate in the case of comedic clumsiness. Physically, these Pokemon resemble nothing so much as baby-blue rabbits at the front, with deep green eyes and tuft-tipped ears. Further along, however, the fur smoothly progresses into slightly less pale blue feathers, mottled with a darker blue, and a pair of wings extend. The hind legs and tail of this Pokemon are also birdlike, and the talons are not to be disregarded. This Pokemon is approximately the size of a Pidgey.
New Pokemon: Name: Lepurtinger/Wolperlep/Leptinger Designation: The Wolpertinger Pokemon, or The Chimeric Bunny Pokemon Type: Fairy/Flying Family?: This Pokemon is the convergent evolution of Leprong and Tetralep/Leptrao, in that both will evolve into a variant of this Pokemon. However, the gender differences are still pronounced. Any name description?: A combination of Lepus with Wolpertinger. Description:
Male: Having finally ascended to the skies it has been reaching for all its life, the first thing this Pokemon will do is stake out an aerial extension of its territory, in the hopes that this will increase its chances of finding a mate. However, it has become a little more carefree at this point, and may sometimes venture outside its territory when bored. That is not to say that it will not still enforce its borders - quite the opposite, since it is now able to divebomb intruders - it is simply far more carefree while doing so, rather than becoming too aggravated. This Pokemon is a good deal larger than it used to be, perhaps twice their original size. However, it is not a very elegant flier, and its prominent horns sometimes get in the way of steering when winds pick up. The male of the species has no plumage save that on its wings, and its tail - formerly a small bob - has elongated into something more closely resembling a squirrel's tail. The legs of the creature all correspond to those of a rabbit, and the pelt and plumage are mint green, speckled with the deeper green of its eyes on its flanks - and mottled with this deeper green on its wings. The horns remain the same colour and size as before, but the creature has also acquired a pair of ominously protruding fangs. Not buck teeth, more similar to those of a wolf.
Female: Those that reach this stage usually end up becoming the matriarch of their flock, using their increased size and new elegant horns to defend the group. These horns, which are a silvery grey, are considerably slimmer and sharper than those of the males, which seem built more for blunt impact. They have also acquired a pair of ominously protruding fangs. They also provide less wind resistance, allowing females of the species to remain agile in the air. Though they are smaller than their male counterparts at only half-again their original size, and less physically strong, these Pokemon have a greatly increased wingspan, and are faster and stronger fliers. They retain their birdlike hindquarters and tail, which allows them greater steering than otherwise. They are also a deeper blue than before, with still darker speckling and mottling on their flanks and wings, while their eyes remain deep green, and they are more aggressive than before they evolved.

New Pokemon:Name: Pavotot/Pavoling Designation: The Proud Chick Pokemon Type: Flying or Flying/Ground Family?: Own family Any name explanation?: Pavo is from the genus name of peafowl, tot is a word for a small child, and 'ling is short for both hatchling and nestling. New Pokemon:Name: Pokokrest Designation: The Proud Crest Pokemon Type: Flying or Flying/Dragon Family?: See previous new Pokemon. New Pokemon:Name: Tausillat/Taucellat Designation: The Proud Tail Pokemon Type: Flying/Dragon Family?: See previous new Pokemon Any name explanation?: Tausi is a Swahili word for peacock, and ocellated feathers are those with eyelike markings. OH MY GOSH, okay so.
I'll look more closely at some of the other families later but these caught my eye.
So first I do wanna note that the names seem kind of all over the place and we'd probably want to get a little more consistent theme running with them, but that's not what I'm here to talk about.
DESIGN-wise! From what I can tell, they're... peacocks. They're just big peacocks who end up vaguely draconic (and maybe also draconian? that'd be amusing x3). Which isn't bad. There's not a lot of extra theme to, say, Raticate or Swellow. But the farther away you move from 'early route' designs, the more likely Pokemon become to have a little something extra, like Swablu is a vaguely draconic bird that is also a cloud, Chatot is a bird that's also a music note and talks, Helioptile is a lizard that is also a solar panel.
One could argue being draconic makes them more than just Poké-fied peacocks, but why dragon? Why not any other element? Ponyta and Blitzle are fire and electric respecitively because those things are associated with speed, and in the latter case the stripes work well as a visual lightning design, with bright streaks cutting through a black background, etc. Having a strong enough reason to associate the creature/object with the type can greatly help its believability-- and ability to stand out from the crowd-- as a fakemon.
So I'm THINKING... Since you DO have a dragon-type attached to them... and you have the whole intimidation/transfixation/dazzling qualities going on...
WHAT IF, we took it a step farther in terms of those traits, and steered it into a more original design direction by-- in addition to the peacock traits and scales, we added just a little MORE dragon, AND SOME CHICKEN. Play up a rooster-like head-crest, throw in some splashes of orange, have the final evo's tail not just go up but also swoop.
What I'm saying is, WHAT IF PEACOCKATRICE? ✪v✪

Thanks for the ideas~ I'm glad you posted - I thought there was something missing, but I just couldn't put my finger on it. I love the idea of turning them into Peacockatrice Pokemon, and I've put my take on the concept into the original Peacock Pokemon post, beneath the original entries for comparison. Let me know what you think?
