Drako
Twenty | Male | Hetero |
Mercenary | Hero | Oak |
appearance
Drako has the stature of a swimmer, his body is atheltic, but slim, and he doesn't have all those overcompensating muscles covering the most important features of his body, like his face. Drako sport's spiky blonde hair, and deep blue eyes that are like sapphire's in color. Depending on his mood they can change from a lighter shade of blue, or a darker shade of blue depending on if he is happy, or mad. On closer inspection of his face one will notice an x shaped scar on his right cheek that has almost faded through the year's, but never really quiet gone. His face is angular almost like a cat's, along with his eyes giving him a slight feline like quality to his appearance.
Drako stands at an average height of 5'10, and he weighs 160 pounds, and there is very little body fat on him. Though despite his small size he always walks with his head held high, and his shoulder's squared like he is prepared to take on the world no matter what. Whenever he isn't moving he is usually leaning up against a wall with his arms folded observing people. His appearance deceives his profession as many would think him to be more of a researcher, or something else instead of a mercenary, but being quick, and nimble have it's advantage's too.

clothing
everyday Drako is usually seen wearing a long black jacket that appears almost like a robe that zips up the middle. On his right shoulder is a spaulder while the other shoulder is just bear. Above his right breast is a figurine head of a Dragonite. Underneath this incredibly long jacket he is usually sporting a white t-shirt, and a black pair of pants, and boots to match. Though unless he is sleeping he rarely remove's his jacket preferrring to just remove the sleeve's if the weather get's to absurd. | formal N/A |
backpack
Drako's backpack is just a simple sling over bag that houses his supplies. It is nothing fancy, and only has an opening in the top with no additional pockets.
personality
Drako's personality is seemingly split in two as the man he has become constantly battles with the child that he use to be. Never really getting over the loss of his parents he hold's on to his childhood dearly, but shut's it out when he is on a mission which can cause other's confusion when dealing with him or trying to figure him out. While out in the field Drako is all business, and keeps his mind completely on the mission at hand never straying from completing his goal, and giving himself no room for error at all, because he refuses to let anyone die on his watch, and will protect those that are with him fiercely no matter who they are, or what they have done.
His personality has shifted to fit the predatorial world that they live in, and he has adapted a ruthless battle persona when dealing with those that would harm, or threaten the harmony that they have built within Mi-aro. Drako has absolutely no tolerance for those that exploit others, or are trying to take away what they have just because they can. These are the kind of people that get the full force of his darker personality, and it's usually not very pretty when that part of him surfaces, though he does his best to keep it contained.
Drako is a bit of a loner, and when he isn't on a mission, and is just in town he prefer's to stay alone not leaving his emotions out in the open for other's to come tamper with. He has trust issues, but that comes from the year's of solitude, and having to survive on his own for so long. Never having any real friends for the past ten years his social skills are sligthly inept, and he is awkward, and shy around most people. Generally he is also very quiet, and does his best to not draw attention to himself. Though he can often be found reading, or gardening in the small garden out by his families home.
His whole reason for becoming a mercenary was simply because he wanted to protect everyone from the peril's of this world, and be a hero like his dad someday.

the backstory
Drako was born on the world of Mi-aro five years after his parents got to Mi-aro his father was a descendant of the legendary dragon master Lance. Being trained in their clan's traditions since he was a boy he decided that if he had a son that he would do the same for him, to teach him how to master the power of the dragons. After his parents had been settled into what would be known as Port City eventually they conceived a child, and when he was born they named him Drako after his father's father. Being named after someone so special to his father he was going to be groomed for greatness or so they hoped.
When they began to establish trainers to help expand the colonist's foothold on this strange new world, his father immediately volunteered to help defend what was their's. Meanwhile his mother would do her best to help research the world around them, and create a new pokemon compendium for the up, and coming trainer's to be able to use one day. Everything was well with their family, his father went on missions, and his mother would help discover the strange evolutionary pattern's of the pokemon of Mi-aro, to figure out what caused them to be so different from the one's that were part of their original home.
However this happiness was not bound to last, his mother was out in the field doing some routine research, and his father was stationed to protect her from any danger's that might arise. That was when the feral's came out of nowhere, his father did his best to protect his mother from harm, and he, and his pokemon all fought valiantly until their very last breath. The new's struck a cord within the young boy as he realized that his father had died being a Hero. That was a word that he had never used to describe anyone else, his parent's were Heroes, and he would do his absolute best to follow in their footsteps.
Sadness however has a funny way of affecting a child, and he buried himself in his studies within school, and he read all the scrolls pertaining to his families heritage. For all he knew he was the last one of his clan, and it ws up to him to become the best dragon master of them all no matter the odds so he grew up in this cold world adapting to survive like the dragon's that he idolized. He became cold, and withdrawn, and when he was able he became a Mercenary like his father before him so that he could go out, and tame the creatures that had taken away his happiness, and so that he could protect the lives of those around him, just as his father had tried to protect his mother.
