Max Size is 350 x 700
Margaret Knight
Age: 25
Gender: Female
Orientation: Homosexual
Profession: Established Merchant
Occupation: Weapons vendor
Mentor: The Rocket-Man
Appearance: It's often said that the background of a person is shown in the way they look, and perhaps those words would classify perfectly for someone like Margaret. Standing at five feet and nine inches tall Margaret has a tall and slender build frame that shows a healthy mixture between feminine beauty and lean muscle. In the end as the daughter, and therefore heiress of an important business corporation Margaret has to carry herself with a certain sense of elegance but also be able to take care of herself. Speaking of her skin, while she has a white skin the frequent escapades into the outdoors has left her with a healthy tan that nicely accompanies her looks.
To get a bit further into her appearance, Margaret is fairly conscious of her features, a crop of long beautiful blond hair that is carefully maintained into a ponytail accompanies her sapphire blue-colored eyes. She’s extremely proud of her hair, often spending a bit more time than normally to make sure it’s brushed into a condition she considers presentable.
Still if one was to speak about flaws in her features then perhaps there are a few details that she tries to carefully conceal. Because her upbringing has exposed her to a society where men were considered the ‘better’ side of the species Margaret is fairly conscious of her feminine features, and while she refuses to cut her hair short she does try to conceal her rather well-developed bust, for example by wearing unisex clothes, her favorite outfit being a business suit resembling a tuxedo.
Everyday Clothes: Is usually seen wearing the formal tuxedo shown in the picture due to her profession.
Formal Garbs:* While she is rarely seen wearing anything other than a proper suit, Margaret is known to have an expensive Furfa-made dress that her father insists she wears on formal meetings.
Pack: While she has an entire store available to her, she does have a proper suitcase available for when she has to go abroad.
Personality: If one had to describe Margaret in one word then perhaps the term ‘Business’ would fit her perfectly. With her professional upbringing it’s quick to notice that Margaret speaks and acts with a certain expertise to her behavior. Her tone is often respectful and polite, and both her tone and expression often are lacking in emotion. However, just like a businessman, or in this case businesswoman needs to be Margaret often shows a clever and calculating side to her. Every action she makes has a meaning, and more often than not those actions are meant to represent the ideal of a ‘favor for a favor’. In that sense Margaret is unlikely to interact with people unless she develops a curiosity toward them, or believes she has something to gain from their relationship.
However, it’s not easy to be a perfect mask to conceal one’s emotions, and Margaret certainly isn’t the perfect actor. This is represented in her affection for Pokémon. Having long held a fondness for the mysterious creatures that inhabited the world Margaret is prone to drop her façade of seriousness in favor for a gentle young woman who likes nothing more than to be showered by the affection and attention of a Pokémon.
Likes: Earning money, weapons, Pokémon, the sound of rainfall, peacefully drinking her tea every time exactly at noon.
Dislikes: Unpredictable people, hot climates, needless chatter, someone touching her precious weapons without her permission.
Backstory: Wealthy people can often be categorized in two groups. Those who are born it in through lineage, and those who forge their way into the class by ambitiousness and clever thinking. The Knight family is considered part of the latter. Their origins were fairly humble: Alexander was the owner of a small store within Celadon City while his wife Elise was a teacher who taught the importance of careful management of economics to merchants. The two of them had met in the most common way that one might imagine: a simple business exchange. Elise had been a colleague of Alexander’s older brother and as a gift to his little brother had been hired to teach Alexander some marketing strategies. The passion and honesty that Alexander showed in the way he managed his store was something that charmed Elise who knew all too well that the business world was filled with clever deception and haggling. Everyone was out to get money, by any means possible but Alexander seemed somehow different. Certainly he enjoyed money and prosperity as much as any human being, but he always upheld a certain just and fair feeling, and his motto was ‘a dishonest deal is the same as theft’.
It didn’t take long for the chemistry known as romance to trigger itself between the two and after two years of working together the two had married. With Elise’s guidance the store quickly raised itself in popularity, slowly expanding into a chain of several stores within the Kanto Region, but their largest step into wealth must had been ‘that’. The time Alexander’s stores, that was famous for developing goods for Pokémon Trainers, Coordinators and Breeders alike had started to develop and Alexander’ wealth started to gather was also the time Silph.Co, a famous company related to the creation of the Pokéball had been in a financial crisis. To lack money, means to lack the ability to advance and for a corporation this was equal to a slow death. The president of Silph.Co his decision to seek out investors was therefore a logical solution, and Alexander was one of those who took the bargain by buying some of the rights of the company. The end result? While Silph.Co became a famous corporation the rights that Alexander had purchased skyrocketed in value, and in the end he was able to banter some of them back to the company and earn a heavy sum of money in return… to the point they became part of the upper-class in society.
It was just like this that the Knight family became a famous corporation that was known by any adventurer, whether it was a Pokémon trainer, coordinator or breeder. But then the event struck that led people to be forced to migrate to Mi-aro. Of course the head of the Knight family at that time still intended to uphold the ambitions of his predecessors, Gregory Knight was just as passionate as the previous heads of the household had been, and when people settled in Mi-aro Gregory had become determined to continue their legacy. Perhaps it was because the same year the portal appeared had been the year he was blessed with a heiress to his legacy, a young and healthy girl called Margaret, he also felt this new world would challenge her beyond anything their predecessors had faced before.
And yet Gregory was in for a pleasant surprise. It was at the tender age of fifteen, a mere teenager that Margaret suddenly voiced a curious desire to be taught the art of gunnery. While her father initially assumed it was merely a desire to defend herself from the outside threats of feral Pokémon, it was rather fascinating to find out she had actually started to develop an interest in all sorts of weapons, explaining to her father than in the current time and age they lived in, a weapon might had been a necessary form of protection, what obviously meant… that an expertise in weaponry would surely allow them to sit on a goldmine. In the end the ten years that followed were quite… fascinating to say the least. Having opened a store that specialized in all sorts of ‘survival gear’ Margaret’s suggestion had led the Knight family to regain their prestige and wealth, but the most curious event that unfolded was at the age of 25. While Margaret had become a skilled merchant in her own right, having dealt with all sorts of customers over those ten years, it was a sudden letter that was addressed to her that revealed her eyes had drawn the attention of a very influential man. Among the elders of the community he was known as ‘One of the Big Three’. While Professor Oak was considered a master of knowledge, having led the various researches into their new world, the Ambassador a ‘leader of men’ for her prowess in both politics and the battlefield, there was one man who fascinated Margaret even more, one who she had only heard about in rumors. He who had been responsible for restoring the economic crisis of their world. A man whose aptitude for business and commerce surpassed even her own, or those of her ancestors. To think she had been given an opportunity to meet this ‘Rocket Man’ was an offer she wasn’t going to refuse.
In the end connections were an important part of the business game, and if she could leave a good impression on this person, she might had been able to elevate her family’s reputation even higher than before. After all to Margaret there were only a few things more important than wealth and fame. And this man? This Rocket Man stood on the pinnacle of both, at least if the stories were to be believed…
