The instructions had been simple, which was always quite helpful. Be at place "A" by "X" time, and everything would be explained and taken care of. Beyond that, what information would possibly be needed? Davros asked himself the same question about a hundred times as he slowly approached the Global Station, bag packed and hefted onto his rather large back. Each foot step seemed to shake the loose pebbles on the ground as his booted feet clomped down before him, one foot at a time. His pace was leisurely, but his stride was so massive that he covered a lot of ground with each individual stride.
That alone used to drive his little brothers nuts, as they had to basically run to keep up with him. A faint smile crept across his face as he thought about his family, before that smile turned frownish at the concept of leaving them. Well...not quite leaving them because they still lived in the village, but leaving them in the sense of going out on his future missions and adventures.
Something he looked forward to, quite honestly. Gripping the straps of his bag as he slowly climbed the stairs, he pushed open the door to the building, almost bowling over a poor woman on the other side of the door.
"My apologies ma'am," he said quietly, continuing on his way without stopping. Looking around, the man felt lost for a few minutes before he realized where he needed to go. In his application, he had no idea who to report to and so it was recommended that he go see Mr. R. Apparently, he was the type of mentor that would be able to take advantage of Davros's gifts and abilities, and that was good enough for the big guy.
Seeing someone behind a desk, the big man stomped over and leaned down a bit, giving the person a small, friendly smile. "Hi there. I need to report to Mr. R. Can you....uh, tell me if I'm in the right spot?" he asked, almost sheepishly. It seemed very odd, a huge man asking in such a delicate fashion.

The desk attendant was taken aback as the large man bent over the desk. "Uh.." Why did all the giants have to choose R? It freaked her out! Her frail hands began to point, but they just barely grazed the pant of another rather tall man. Ah.. that was probably why. His face was sharp and sculpted like marble, which complemented his fine blonde hair that swooped in a single direction and had resemblance to a fauxhawk. Although he was still dwarfed by the huge man, his own stature was fairly intense, his strong poise seemed to add even more height. One could only assume he had a fair muscle base, but he was covered in a navy business suit, so who knew. To complete his look, he wore an earpiece, likely an attachment to his X-gear. A toothy smile crossed his face as he extended his hand to the man. "You were looking for R right?" after the introduction, the mentor motioned for the soon-to-be-trainer to follow him into his office. The space was quite tight, there was a desk and office chair, as well as two wooden chairs facing the desk, and several shelves that lined the sides of the room. Behind the desk was a large colored glass wall with a large red "R." Finally, there were five pokeballs with pictures on his desk. The man sat down and offered Davros one of the seats facing him. "As you can see, there isn't much room in here for me to release all five Pokemon at once, so instead I've attached pictures to each of the pokeballs.""These Pokemon are all practical choices for your job field, most of them have a great sense of smell, save Elekid, but I would consider that one the strongest evolutionary line in the frame. All of them share an intimidation feature however, making them great partners for a Collector like yourself." R then handed the man a " Pamphlet" with pictures of all the classic starters of the old world, as well as a few that were referred to as the first of Mi-aro. "You can also choose one from there if you wish. Mercenaries start with two, so take your pick."

Davros was used to that kind of reaction from people and so it didn't even phase him when she looked almost frightened. However, because he wasn't aggressive, people normally calmed down and fortunately for the woman, Mr. R appeared pretty much out of nowhere. With a winning smile, the new man addressed him.
"You were looking for R, right?" he said, extending a hand.
"Aye sir, R was the name I was giving," Davros replied, completing the handshake with his own massive right hand. The man said nothing and motioned towards an office that was just beyond the desk. Shrugging his massive shoulders, Davros turned to follow, but not before giving the woman a wave and a nice smile for her help. It was a little tight in the room, but it didn't matter all that much and when Mr. R motioned for him to take a seat, Davros shook his head and waved it off, perfectly content to stand with his back against the wall.
Davros stared at the five capture balls that sat on the man's desk, each one filled with potential and promise. The mercenary knew that this moment was going to be important, as these two Pokemon were going to serve as his two partners. His success or failure was going to ride on how he worked with these two. This decision could make or break his life, and it was a difficult one at that.
Mr. R pointed out that a small picture of each of the Pokemon was attacked to the poke ball and as he moved from one to the next, he racked his brain trying to recognize the Pokemon in the illustrations. A couple of them looked familiar, but out of the five, two of them he had never seen nor heard of ever before.
""These Pokemon are all practical choices for your job field, most of them have a great sense of smell, save Elekid, but I would consider that one the strongest evolutionary line in the frame. All of them share an intimidation feature however, making them great partners for a Collector like yourself." the man said, offering a slight bit of guidance to the situation.
Finger on his chin, Davros looked once more between the pictures and sighed slightly. "Alright, I think I have come to a decision. For my two partners, I'll take the Snubbull, and the Elekid." he said, blinking and looking up at Mr. R. His eyes betrayed his doubt and confusion, but with a slight shake of his head, the massive man sent them away and nodded. "Final decision," he said simply, and pointed at the two Pokemon.
Being new to this, Davros simply waited for Mr. R to act first.

R nodded with with his signature smile. "Two excellent choices." With that, he returned the remaining pokeballs to his desk and slid the other two closer to the edge. He gestured to either side of his desk to the walls that were filled to the brim with items on shelves.
"You can choose three trainer items and either a Dex Chip or an Ability Chip."
The man pulled a couple more items from his desk, 6 pokeballs and an X-gear with a Holo Chip. With all these items, Davros would be set!
---
After the new trainer picked his items, R gave the trainer a stare that was something between serious and playful. "Nothing is more valuable right now than Pokemon Davros. They're hard to obtain, tough to train, and even more dangerous to try and tame." A quiet smirk crossed his face, "The potential for Pokemon collectors is like a gold mine that will sky rocket the entire colony's economy as well as add to the protection of the settlements."
The Rocket Man stood up and extended his hand to the Mercenary, "I really believe in your work, and if you ever need anything, don't be afraid to shoot me text."
You may choose your Pokemon's names, abilities, genders, and personalities.

Davros breathed a sigh of relief as Mr. R acknowledged and supported his choices. Not that it would have changed the big man's decisions, but it was still nice to have the support of the individual who was supposed to be mentoring him. When Mr. R pointed, Davros turned and his eyes went wide at the sight of the pure amount of stuff that was lined on the shelves. It was staggering how many things were there. Davros had never seen so much inventory in his entire life.
Clomping forward, Davros decided to be simple with his choices, taking two potions off one shelf and a bag of Pokemon food from a different shelf. Three items, done. "I'd like the Dex chip please. I'm afraid I don't know enough Pokemon to get by without one," he said, slightly sheepishly.
Mr. R reached into his desk and pulled out 6 shrunken poke balls and the X-gear, with the Holo chip already installed. Picking the watch-like device up, Davros adjusted it for his massive wrist and slid it on, before carefully sliding the Dex chip into the side. A beeping sound rang out and the screen showed that installation was complete and successful, a new menu popping up. Davros would play with it later, when he was finished here. Sliding the six poke balls off the table, he stuffed them into his pants pocket and looked to Mr. R.
"Nothing is more valuable right now than Pokemon Davros. They're hard to obtain, tough to train, and even more dangerous to try and tame. "I really believe in your work, and if you ever need anything, don't be afraid to shoot me text." Mr. R said with a smile, extending his hand.
"Aye sir. You can count on me. Thank you for your help," he said with a slight bow, before he turned and clomped out of the room.
