Davros Fairchild
Age: 30
Gender: Male
Orientation: Heterosexual
Profession: Mercenary
Occupation: Collector
Mentor: The Rocket Man
Appearance:
A big man is usually a reference point for someone that is larger than normal and maybe a bit more muscular. For Davros, large man doesn't even begin to cover how big he is. Standing at a massive 6'7", Davros could pop the crystal off a Spoink if he applied enough pressure to the little piglet. Muscles on top of muscles is just one way to try and equate the man's bulk to something that can be related to. That being said, Davros didn't attain all of that just by luck. No, it came from hard work, sweat, and a desire to be ready for and match all of the things that could come his way.
Slightly long black hair drapes over his face and down the back of his neck. The length of this hair is often a good indicator for how long Davros has been in the field, hunting down specimens and helping others with defense issues and other problems. His piercing eyes have been known to stop quarrels and fights (as if his size alone would not be able to do that) and the man can often be seen with a good natured, happy smile on his face. He looks very tough and imposing, but he shows a gentler side in his movements and relations to others. Not much for materialistic objects, he keeps things simple and is happy just with his regular clothes and his trusty pack.
Everyday Clothes: Regular traveling clothes, simply black or khaki pants, loose t-shirt and a vest that has pockets for storing usable items, thick, heavy hiking boots and a bandana around his forehead for sweat and wound treatment
Formal Garbs: Not applicable
Pack: Kinda like this, but with a few more holes in it
Personality:
Davros has the appearance of an angry Ursaring, but he really is quite a gentle and soft-spoken person. His pure size is usually enough to keep problems and fight situations at bay, but when that is not possible, Davros would do everything in his power to prevent arguments, or keep them short without violence. At the same time, though, if pushed to it he is more than willing to get physical and deal with the situation at hand. Afterwards, he would probably want to apologize for it, much to the chagrin of some of the people he has worked for in the past. This tender side, however, has come in quite handy due to his efforts with catching and domesticating feral Pokemon. Every trained Pokemon becomes a valuable asset to the community and to the colony and so he takes great pride in the work he does for society as a whole.
For sure, Davros could be labeled as the obedient solider type. Rather than come up with the strategy and plans himself, he'd much rather take someone else's plan and see it come to fruition. He is not a simpleton and can think for himself, he would just rather have direction and goals prearranged. When pushed to a boiling point, Davros can barely be stopped and will rage until whatever is bothering him has been silenced or destroyed. Playfully known as Berserker Rage, some of Davros's older friends have attempted to push him to this level before just to see what would happen. Not a fun game persay, but something that Davros has learned tell-tale signs and possible consequences from hitting this level of pure rage and anger.
Like any other person, Davros also seeks out and enjoys designated alone time, allowing himself to calm down and be peaceful, especially in terms of any Pokemon he is raising or attempting to tame. Behind closed doors allows the mercenary to shed his brutal, warrior like outer skin and be at peace with the gooey, marshmallow undercoating. He especially enjoys when a Pokemon is just on the edge of becoming domesticated, seeing the look of love and trust in the eyes of the Pokemon as it finally comes around. It is the little things that prompt his work and his desires, and he would never trade that for anything.

Backstory:
The opening of the portal was a momentous day, and all people, from the very old to the very young had a sense of wonder about it. Along with the wonder was a healthy dose of apprehension, as this mystical transport was going to take these poor people to the place they dreamed of. A better place for survival. At least....that was the plan. Davros, only being five at the time, quickly learned and saw the world for what it was: Dangerous. It was all too real a threat when people would disappear after doing something simple like getting more firewood. However, survival was paramount and so Davros's family got to work, using their various talents and efforts to raise money and help out the settlement. His family was huge, his seven brothers and three sisters all taking up different occupations to do their best to bring pride and safety upon the house. It was difficult, naturally, and the first year brought the deaths of three of his siblings due to the elements they were facing. Not discouraged, Davros's mother and father kept with what they were doing. His father was a local merchant, teaching the boy about facts and figures, which Davros took very little away from. He had no mind for math or bargaining, and so the young boy's education switched to his mother. However, that also seemed to go nowhere as his mother attempted to teach him agriculture and farming.
Not happy, Davros finally found a calling with his older brother, Stephanos. A mercenary by trade, Stephanos specialized in taming the feral beasts that lived in the forests and wilds near their home. Once a Pokemon was tamed, it would often sell for hefty coin and Stephanos almost single handedly supported the family. Their parents did not really support the skills and profession of his brother, but they had no basis to fight him over it because of the coin he made from doing it. They talked at length to Davros about not doing that, but for the most part their words fell on deaf ears. The young man was hooked and knew at that point, that was what he wanted to do. Instead of fighting the wild, turn the wild to your side.
Stephanos refused to train Davros until he was older and so the young man instead worked other jobs around his household, slowly growing and developing. After two massive growth spurts, Davros had eclipsed all but one of his brothers in height, and his constant chopping wood and working with his hands had given him respectable muscle size. He was finally old enough and grown enough to begin training for his career, but it was at this point that Stephanos had left on a specific errand for the Ambassador, and never returned. Speculation ran rampant about what had happened, the most popular opinion resting on eaten by feral creatures. Davros believed that the skill of his brother was more than that though, but he had no idea how to confirm any specific story.
Davros was inconsolable for a long time after his brother disappeared a few years in fact. However, as his thirtieth birthday loomed and then passed, Davros looked at his life and questioned it. What had he done? What had he accomplished? Pretty much nothing, and so Davros made the decision to stop moping and start doing what he wanted to do, and that was tame ferals. He had no Pokemon of his own and very little experience, and so that was when his father recommended he go see Emissary. They would know what to do. Packing his stuff and getting all ready to go, his parents openly wept, firmly believing that would not see their son any more, but Davros has faith, both in himself and in the colony.
