VegetationHere you will find descriptions of all the known plant-life on Mi-aro BERRIES PoiupsThese berries are purple, about the size of an average hand, and perfectly round. A red stem coils out from the top of the fruit. It has a few tiny pores across its surface. The "shell" of the berry has rubbery feel, but protects the insides well enough. Some people prefer to peel the fruit before eating the sweet, tangy and juicy insides. These are used as general food sources for humans. ((Can be picked from most large trees. When planted in soft, hydrated soil, it will grow into a Poiup sapling in 2 weeks and will produce 2-3 berries. Restores 1/2 health for Pokémon Lv 1-4; 1/4 health for Lv 5-8; 1/8 health for Lv 9-15, and 1/16 health for Lv 16-20.)) PeppipsThese berries are a reddish-orange, pinky-sized, and shaped like an anemic hourglass. The tops of the pepper sport a short but think brown stem. It has a very dry surface which also tends to be wrinkled around the concave areas of the berry. This is one of the main spice berries the people have adapted to. The seeds on the inside share a similar flavor to peppers, but slightly spicier. ((Can be picked from Spiny-Leaved Shrubs. When planted in soft, hydrated soil, it will grow into a small Spiny shrub in 2 weeks and will produce 2-4 berries. Pokemon can eat this berry to cure Paralysis and Freezing.)) LolupsThese tiny berries are only about the size of the end of a thumb. They are a whitish color with purple polka dots of varying sizes and a tiny, curled, green stem. The shell is very smooth, and when bitten into, it has a nice crunch that reveals a sweet inside that can only be described as divine. ((Uber Rare. Only given through Promos and Contests. Will not produce fruit. Increases a Pokemon's level & TP/Happiness by 10. A half Lolup will give 1/2 the EXP of 5tP/Happiness. Each Pokemon may only eat one Lolupper promo/contest.))

HERBS Spiny LeavesThe Spiny Leaf is a rich, dark-green herb that shares the Spiny-Leaved Bush with the Peppip Berry. The leaves are, as the name implies, spiny and can easily prick the hands or snouts of any that try to snag them or their precious fruits from the shrub. Other than the sharps spines around the edges of the leaf, the plant has a very chalky and rough texture. This herb isn't very useful alone, but it is the foundation of many alchemic recipes. They are grouped into bundles. ((Can be gathered from Spiny-Leaved Shrubs. 5 bundles can be gathered from fully grown shrubs, 3 can be gathered from Small Spiny Shrubs.)) These flowers have been discovered in 5 different colors, from most common to rarest they are, Red, Orange, Yellow, White, Blue. The flower has 5 points giving it the resemblance to a star. This herb has many uses other than being a pretty, decorative flower. It's sweet scent is rumored to bring the mind hope as well as cleanse the body of toxins and is therefore very common in households. It is the New Pallet symbol of new beginnings. ((Common in grassy areas such as New Pallet. 5 flowers of the same color can dye 1 item. Eating the herb will induce vomiting.)) Sprite Credit: Jonsi

CROPS
Kikaso These crops are like a mix of our corn and rice. The grain itself is a bright red and only about the size of a fingernail. They are produced in ears and grow on stalks. The stalks are green, they shoot up from the ground until they reach about 6 feet in height, then they sag down as the seeds begin to form on the ears (which are basically just a hollow extension of the plant's stem and completely safe to eat). Kikaso are usually sold and carried with the ear still binding the individual seeds together. 1 ear is considered 1 Kikaso. The grain has a salty taste and fluffy, liquid-like texture. These are ingredients in many different recipes for both Human and Pokemon foods.. ((Stalks can rarely be found in plains. When planted in soft, hydrated soil, it will grow into a Kikaso stalk in 2 weeks and will produce 1-4 ears.))
Furfa A fluffy, white fiber-crop that is the evolutionary relative of cotton. It is extremely light and very easy to refine given that there are no thorns or other defense on the plant. Furfa grow on short stalks about 2 feet tall which produce the bolls of the fiber. When refined or spun, it creates a thread-like material simply referred to as Furf-thread. This thread can be used to make extremely light, breathable clothing with a texture that resembles fur. Because of how light the end product is, the clothing tends to be a bit see-through. It is worn in the form of baggy layers and drapes to combat this issue. ((Stalks can rarely be found in plains. When planted in thick, hydrated soil, it will grow into a Furfa stalk in 2 weeks and will produce 1-4 bolls.))

FOLIAGE
Quercus Tree Named after the Good Professor, the Quercus tree is the natural bearer of the Poiup berry. The tops of these trees usually hit around 30 feet tall (about the size a two-story house) with their lowest fruit-bearing branches starting at about 7 feet. The rather soft leaves clump together tightly to give the tree a very soft, cloud-like appearance. Its trunk is usually a grayish color and is of a moderate thickness. If Poiups weren't one of the colony's only food sources, these trees would be an excellent source of lumber. They grow on the outskirts of Port City and New Pallet as well as on Route 3 (The Dirt Path). Planting 50 Poiup berries will cause a Quercus tree to grow. 2 weeks - 5' Sapling | 1 month - 8' sapling | 1.5 months - 12' starts to flower | 2 months - begins producing fruit | 3 months - fully grown.
Spiny-Leaved Bush This bush is the host to the Spiny Leaf Herb and the Peppip berry. This plant is of moderate size, standing about 3'6". Leaves and berries will not grow back once they fall off, so be sure to plant more if you strip it to the bone. Speaking of the bone, you can make 1 bundle of sticks (the equivalent of a 3ft Wooden Rod) by cutting the bush down. Planting 5 Peppip berries will cause the bush to grow in 30 days. A fully grown bush produces 10 Peppips, and 5 Bundles of Leaves.
